ok I have checked the bios etc everything is good there even checked for an updated version of bios it is current. Still cannot power down by going through normal shut down procedures. Where I live there is nobody I trust enough to check this computer out, it is the wifes and has bank info etc on it. The only thing different than my computer is the hard drive is bigger otherwise identical. Have even opened the case and checked the power button to make sure it wasn't stuck. Naturally cleaned it out while open and checked all connections.

I have a wireless modem and when I try to stream Netflix to my blueray, but it fails. I got cable to wire my modem to the blueray but that fails also. My cable company is useless. Netflix told me once I connected the modem and the blueray that would solve the problem but it does not solve it. Any ideas? Do I need a certain blueray DVD player model ? John

My old computer crashed a week ago. I was running windows XP. Now I bought a new Lenovo desktop with windows 8. I am having all sorts of problems. My printer and new computer with windows 8 don't seem to be on the same page. What other sorts of problems can I expect? A computer shop did a progression of my data onto the new computer and now I can't find it. Where the heck might it be? I lost all my email and all my programs. You can see I am no expert on this stuff. John

I bought a version 10.5 of Dragon a while back, but I never use it because I don't have a good tutorial for it. Does anyone know where I can get a tutorial for Dragon for someone who knows little or nothing about the program? It is getting harder and harder for me to type. John

At the top of this page and most pages here at Hadit, to listen to the SVR Weekly Internet Podcast. I click the play button only nothing happens. I am guessing this is only for live broadcasts? I have updated all my players, I have several. They are all enabled in my IE 9 add ons. I have Win7. What do I need to do to hear them? I have Hughes Net satellite connection so I can't do streaming and listening in when it is live. I have the cheapest Huges Net package and it is not real fast. OR is there a place I can download each program? I assume it is recorded.

We just lifted off over the Dansville NY airport.To the left below us You can see this is a completely clear plexiglass type chopper, no doors, very lightweight.... the flight instruments are very simple to use. The pilot new I had had flight lessons . The startled look you see on his face was when I asked him if I could touch his stick, visible in the middle of the photo.It maneuvers the helo. But he said 'Oh No Berta, dont do that, oh my goodness!!!!!!.' Maybe he misunderstood the work stick. This was always the best helo ride I ever had at the Dansville airshows.The other one I was in was so loud and vibrated so much, it was fun but a lot to deal wit…

I have no idea how to use them and don't do gaming, at all. About 7 yrs ago I purchased what was then a state of the art control stick (Saitek X52) and now want to complete my original goal. For the past week, every time I enter Hadit, I'm automaticly signed in. Always had to sign in before. The remember password feature on my browser is disabled, I always sign out when I leave the site and nobody knows my password but me. All other sites I use that require authentication, I still have to sign in to. Any ideas as to why this is happening? johnjjr

For last couple of weeks, after I post something and then go back after I post reply try to review it again (if I think of something else right away ) I get this Sorry, we couldn't find that! Then I have to click on the Forum tab and get back to read what I posted. It has been distracting me. Then again I re-read my replies sometimes right away to make sure they made sense. Maybe I shouldn't do that. Someone will tell me if they dont make sense.

Hi all, Great website, but I am having trouble with using it when it comes to clicking a link to see a forum post, or jumping to any other section the website. Both IE and Firefox lock up for a good 30 to 40 seconds each time, during which I cannot change tabs, scroll, or anything. This only happens with hadit.com. I am not sure why, but it only does it on my work computer, so doing some serious control panel stuff and reinstalling is a no-go. Maybe it is the start up graphics and sound? Is there a way to view the site in simpler format, disabling all that? Thanks! Dr B

I am considering buying a laptop for someone very special as a gift. If possible I would like to purchase it on line and have it shipped to me. This person is not yet computer literate and I do not foresee that they will do much more than email, photos, perhaps learn to burn audio/video DVD's and CD's and surf the net a bit. I would prefer to stay middle of the road on price, if possible trying to find out the best deal available with a trusted supplier (US company too), for around 5 - 6 hundred bucks. I'd appreciate some suggestions. Thanks for your help, sharing your knowledge and experiences.

Dear "Geeks" I'm not brightest bulb in the package when it comes to using a computer, so have been at a loss for a couple of weeks in not being able to get to the Hadit sign in through AOL - would just give me an error message. My Vet finally came to my rescue, tells me it's an AOL problem, got me into the site through internet Explorer. Maybe this makes sense to you guys, but for several weeks I've not been able to sign in, post or anything. Don't know if this is happening to your other AOL users, but thought i"d better give you a heads up. Had some good news to share so will now try to get to Success stories again. Lorraine
