Diabetic With Peripheral Neuropathy
I am a diabetic with peripheral neuropathy in all 4 extremities and its getting more and more painful to use my right hand because of the effects, I'm right-handed. I have severe degenerative arthritis in my knees and shoulders. The depression is getting out of control. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, so you name the symptom, I have it. I can't even concentrate or stay focus enough to even start to complete the forms that the SSA sent me. One form is a: Function Report-ADULT, and the other is a Work History Report. They were both sent to me from DISABILITY DETERMINATION SERVICES. What do I do? Thanks Josephine for helping me to this point. jmack

Chapter 35 Do I Understand This Correctly?
If your dependant child is receiving chapter 35 benifits and s/he is still being claimed on your taxes as a dependent that the Vet no longer can receive the dependant benifit in there VA compensation check. The reason I am asking is because my Son just applied for chapter 35 benifits and he put the effective date as Aug. 2007 since that is when he started collage...since we are going into Oct. will that mean that the VA will request a repayment of the benifit I have already recieved on him in Aug and Sept??? after reading the thread by vaf I will start to put the benifit amount aside... Second question...my spouse is also a disable vet but he is not P/T will it effect …

ptsd Va Never Ceases To Amaze Me . . .
Three plus yrs ago I helped a vet, whom I'd never met at the time, who had been receiving 50%, since VN, for wounds, file a claim for PTSD. They gave him 100% schedular for PTSD right out the door, w/o any appeals or anything. They failed to address Housebound (HB)as an inferred issue. In Feb of this yr, I sent a letter advising them of their error. Last week they called a CUE on themselves and awarded HB, retro to the date of the 100% schedular ward and deposited the retro in his account. Needless to say he likes me. I guess some vets are just lucky! pr

Ok Berta, Here is what my dr. wrote in my record. quote "****I strongly feel that, more likely than not, this pt is unemployable (totally + permanently) due to her psychiatric condition which has only worsen in time, + I suspect her chronic psychotic condition will be re-diagnosed from major depression with psychotic features to schizoaffective disorder****" unquote. Dro Hearingtranscript Wrong
I had a DRO hearing in august. B4 it started I asked the Hearin Officer if I could record it (which I knew by law I could) he said yes but I dont know why you need to do that we are doing it, I said because I have a real bad memory due to my MDD, and meds I take he said ok. Question For The Elders
Hello everyone, I have a question for anyone with some insight. I received a copy of my Claims folder from the VA and discovered something that I had completely forgotten and blacked out of my mind. I discovered that I initially submitted a compensation claim back in 12/1999. The issue is that four months after submitting my claim my mother passed away from breast cancer and I relocated to another state to try to get a grasp of myself emotionally. While in the other state I was never seen or even enrolled at the VA there however there are letters in my file regarding missing C & P appointments that I had no knowledge of. My question is do I have a leg to stand…

Va Retro?
FWD: http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/C...nstatements.htm September 16, 2007 To All the Veterans Benefits Disability Commissioners (VBDC) Subject: The VBDC recommendation that the Veterans Compensation only start on the date it is awarded by Veterans Affairs and not the submittal date of claim. I apologize for not being there for this meeting but I have a meeting with Congressman Bob Filner on many of the issues you as a committee have been discussing; and that takes precedence. I cannot afford to do both. I did want to pass on my complete and utter disappointment with this recommendation for our Nation’s Veterans by the VBDC. In …

tdiu Overpayment Of $6k
Terry Higgins said back on July 18, 2006 "Dear veterans & Friends I had a VA overpayment of over thousand dollars. I went to the VBM and photo copy the letter with the regulatons that say if an overpayment occures by the VA and its not the vets fault. The VA eats it. I did not have to pay. Terry Higgins." Does anyone in haditland who owns a VBM have a copy of the regulation Terry was talking about? I can sure use it if it's still in effect. I'm helping a veteran who the VA is going after for about $6,000 due to his being compensated for his child while the child was receiving Chapter 35 benefits. I'll be going through the file trying to find evidence th…

tdiu Why Is Varo Not Recognizing Gw Service?
I have a claim that was recently denied under DRO. While they were "reviewing" I found out that I was eligible to be on the GW registry and scheduled for an exam. They canceled my exam twice but I ended up going anyway on the second time and they took me in, verified my service and did the exam. In the meantime, I sent the VARO a letter explaining this "new evidence" and then they quickly denied my case, stating that "although the doctor mentioned that the fibro is most likely service connected, he didn't base his opinion on a review of your medical records". No where in the soc did it mention my GW service or that I am a GW vet. I also replied with a letter citing th…
