ptsd What Is "spatial Disorientation" ?
Hi - Newbie on board - been reading the posts for a while before joining and have learned a lot - thanks. Question 1) What is "spatial disorientation" as it pertains to the rating of mental disorders such as ptsd? I just had my C&P a couple of weeks ago and when I asked the doc what she meant when she asked me if I had any issues with spatial disorientation she asked me if I knew I was in bed when I was in bed. I told her yes, when I am in bed I know I am in bed. However, later I realized that I never had an opportunity to tell her how I get lost even on routes that I should be well familiar with and wondered if I should have said something about that when she a…

Multiple Scar Question
I have 2 scars, one is on my neck and another on my face. They are from 2 seperate and different operations. The VA has rated them together as 10%. Should they be rated seperately because they were from different operations or is this considered "pyramiding"? Thanks for any insight or advice.

hypertension Question
I am seeing a Psychiatrist and a Psychologist. I have an open claim for 50% working on TD. The Psychiatrist wrote "Mr. ******** has been under my care for long history of mood disorder and has been complaint with his treatment. He has been suffering from depression and anxiety in addition to his physical condition related to chronic back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis and hypertension. He seems to be unable to hold any gainful employment. Signed, Staff Psychiatrist. I did not use this because you all said the VA would deny because she add back, neck pain which I am not connected for. The Psychologist told me I should be 70 or maybe 100% disabled. I asked for …

ptsd Emergent Need For Advice And Help Vet To Vet
I have spoken to many counselors at the VA and it seemingly makes my PTSD issues even worse. I've looked into the Track 1 Program and the PTSD weekly counseling. It has created maritial issues in our relationship. My wife has left me, been gone and said that it's just getting worse. She doesn't know if she can trust someone who is on edge all the time and sometimes just doesn't want to be as social as I once was. Counselor told my wife when your husband (me) gets upset, leave him alone and don't bother him....that created issues as well. My wife leaving has resulted in weight loss of 23 lbs in less than 2 weeks, severe depression and having nightmares with my normal…

tdiu Bad Spin Codes On
Edwin Crosby sued the US for an improper Spin code (SPN) on his DD 214. Many vets dont realise that employers used these codes in the past to deny vets jobs. Edwin Crosby is the guest again at SVR broadcast this Wednesday night at 6: 30 EST: http://www.stardustent.com/ His last show was very interesting-many vets dont pay much attention to RE codes or SPN codes but they can be damaging to a vet in the workforce sometimes if they are negative. The "United We Roll Show" is also on Tuesday nights 3-5 PM EST and Gene Simes - Veterans For Veterans Connections is frp, 8 to 9 PM Tuesdays. Free chat room to post your questions in to the guest and also callins ar…

"a Va Horror Story" Article.
Just for the record here (Hadit archives) I wanted to post this item...maybe reading it will educate lots of us re: what can happen sometimes with the VA. I just came across this web page with a LONG article on what happend to a vet (a former singer/member of "Spanky and Our Gang" from the 1960s). As cited from Spanky and Our Gang's website: "The site [see link below] also contains a "VA Horror Story," that recounts the sad way Oz was treated in his final months on earth by the U.S. Government Veterans Administration hospital system. It would certainly seem our government could have done better by both a veteran and individual who creatively gave so much to his coun…

Navy Noise!, Hearing Loss, And Crsc
Greetings to all: I am working with two Navy veteran's in my area. They have been trying to get CRSC for hearing loss. Their ships were in the Viet Nam waters/area. Both received Viet Nam Service Medals. Both veterans have been denied on two different occasions (initial and reconsideration claims ) for CRSC for hearing loss. Note. All other service connected disabilities were approved, with the exception of Hearing Loss. It appears Army(tanks) and Air Force (airplanes) personnel have been successful with their claims. Will CRSC for Navy Personnel with hearing loss, end up being another "boots on the ground" or "in country" fiasco?? …

Should I Put In For Increase?
I have 10% on my back and 10% for each shoulder and 10% for the ankle. All are bothering me but I have a case pending for depression. I'm doing ok with the pain and recently I've had muscle spasms and they gave me Flexeril and a TENS unit and I am waking up with shoulder pains (I can't lay on either side nor on my stomach for very long without having considerable pain that prevents me from sleeping. Moreover, my ankle is worse that it ever has been. Should I let it rest and wait until the other claim is decided or get with an SO and reopen my c-file? Thanks
