tdiu Need Advice Or Opinions
...Hi again. I went today and got copies of my C&P from 14 Aug and I will be quoting the doc statements and wanted your opinion insight and to what to expect. One Doctor says " In my opinion, the depression is most likely caused or is a result of his back condition and his unemployability due to his work history and the fact that h this veteran has to wear a narcotic patch for relief of his pain". The second doctor says AXIS I: Adjustment disorder with depressed mood.....AXIS V: GAF is 49 Quoting from the repost...."I believe his symptoms are moderate and have persisted for a number of years. I did not find evidence that depression in and of itself precluded …

Blue Water Vets Ao
This issue comes up often on other sites and did last night when Mike Harris gave Hadit a big plug and they posted our Home Page again- at the SVR veterans broadcast-Stardust Radio- http://www.nvlsp.org/Information/ArticleLi...svnicholson.htm On August 16th, 2006 the USCAVC decision in Haas became Law of the Land. Advocates were urged by NVLSP to inform any potential AO Blue Water veteran to file their claim ASAP if they had not done so already. I had contact with Richard Spaturo(NVLSP) at the time and I passed this word to numerous vets orgs I deal with-my own POA got this news from me- they dont have internet access- Spaturo also verified for me that AO Blue …

Just got results back from sleep study and confirmed diagnoses of sleep apnea mild-moderate getting fitted for c=pap machine Friday. hypertension Sleep Apnea: Long Term Effects From Agent Orange W/ Dmii & Hyptersion
Hello fellow vets, As adviced by a VN Vet in Y2004, didn't realized that I was qualified for compensation due to my AO exposure which affected my health for decades now. Was too tied up w/ career, family, & others. So, I began... Campaign tour: 1966-1967 in the VN central highlands. 4th Inf. Div; Combat Engr. & Infantry support. Was exposed to AO(fields, missions, LZ's, base camp & outside perimeter burning, etc). >40% SC due to DM-II >Now appealing for my Hypertension which i've had for few decades now. Scratching my head on this one why denied originally? Additionally: (Reevaluation for service connected disability rating) > Applying for…

hypertension Question And Help
I am presently 50% SC for low back and knee issues. I have been taking Oxycodone for the past 5 years for pain and have now been put on Fentanyl patches (25 mcg/hr). In February I was sent to MHC by by PCP and was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and had a GAF of 47. I was put on Citalopram and Temezpam by the shrink. I have not worked since Jan 2007 when the pain became unmanageable. I had a C&P on 14 Aug and the shrink said "all the depression is directly related to the back and pain issues" and the second doc I saw said basically it would be a premanent thing but meds would help to a degree and when I asked his opinion on employability he said "I feel it is…

Lung Cancer
My husband has been diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer since Nov 06. He only smoked 3 years while he was in the Navy. He spent those 3 years on the USS Lester from Jul 1959- Jul 1962. The rest of his working career was with the Depart. of Defense working for the Air Force, now retired (1995). He is enrolled with the VA, but has never filed for any service connections. Is there a chance that we could win a claim for service-connection for his cancer? Thanks rway

Former Va Heart Surgeon Has
http://vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfAUG07/nf082007-3.htm "A 1986 report on VA hospitals in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, ''A Question of Quality: Inadequate Doctors Fall Through Cracks,'' by Fred Schulte, said most of Zakharia's experience in Lebanon had been treating the war-wounded, not heart patients. ''Thirteen percent of Miami [VA] heart surgery patients died in fiscal 1983 -- near three times the VA's average, records state,'' the report said. ''Zakharia said that he performed most of the operations himself. A new surgeon took over in January 1984, and the unit's current mortality rate is less than 2 percent,'' doctors said.''
