Ro Says Claim Is Authorized
I called my RO to check on my claim after I was told it was deferred. This was last week. Today, I was told by the lady who answered the phone that it was "Authorized." What does that mean. I asked her and she said, "I suppose they signed it." I asked if she could tell me if the claims were approved or what was the status and she said she couldn't. Well that's a fine howdy-do. So now its just more waiting until a letter comes? My left eye is starting to twitch! JerryO

New Site For Peb
I'm not sure if this has been posted but it is important and I would like to get this out. In this weeks Army Times there is an article about a JAG who started a website for those about ready to get out under a disability (PEB). It is www.pebforum.com , I looked at the site and it has a lot of good info. I noticed some new individuals about ready to get out asking about PEB's in the active and reserve systems. Looks like a helpful site to guide them to. Have a great ARMY DAY......

Vcaa Notice Response
Greetings, I am working on a cliam for a severely disable vet (Aid & Attendence). About 4 weeks ago they sent him a VCAA Notice Response. He signed it as all necessary edivence has been submitted and he marked make a decision at best possible speed. He called today and the Vet rep at our RO said they were waiting on it, and he inflormed them it was sent in a month ago. With my expirence with the VA they got it. They either lost it or threw it away (not saying on purpose). I am asking for some advice. I believe I can type up a letter very close to a VCAA Notice Response and send them 2 copies in different envelopes. I have learned that years ago send every piece…

Congressman Filner Said
proposing my amendment to the VCAA.Will be in touch with him on that- I think he liked the fact that it would put the onus onto vet reps, lawyers, and agents as well as the VARO- and with a 60 day deadline for VARO response - a deadline for them- for a change- that would STOP the disgraceful backlog and maybe before more newly returning men and women are faced with it- Great show- in their archives later tonight or tomorrow-http://www.stardustent.com/svr.htm

My Nephew just recieved a letter from DVA dening depression, hip condition and back condition. Next step is Washington they say. In the DVA letter I have yellowed some sentence's out one of them state something that they say was mentioned during his appeal which was never mentioned, I was there with him and that question was never asked. Another talkes about Ofiicial Military personnel files but nothing about medical files. and then they state that the fact remains…

tdiu Iris Response
After talking with my RO I was told my CAD and 100% Temp or Permanent is being deferred. I replied that I never asked for IU. The response I received was, "We have your deferrals and are working on them at this time. No decision has been made. The reason you were looked at for individual unemployability is that your disabilities may keep you from working. Therefore, we consider you for that." This was Jul 23. I called the toll free number to ask where my claim/deferment is. Nobody knows, or at least no one I talked with. C&P in Kansas City doesn't know. I was told RO may expidite this as my wife is going in for radical mascetomy the middle of August an…
