Reaction To Meds
I had a reaction to the med by the name of Lovastatin (Cholesterol). Urine was Brown and had bad lower Right (calf area) leg cramps. Now one of the side affects in that..however, it also includes Muscle damage might accured. How do find out if there was Muscle damage? I don't think the VA is going to help me there ( VA Meds by the way). And if I have muscle damage how do I put in a claim for it? I did call the VA and they told me stop taking the Med and they would get back with me....hadn't happen yet. Thanks..

Friend Needs Help
I have been trying to help a friend of mine in getting his claim increased. He got out in 1994 with 30%, 10 for his back and 20 for his knees. He had surgery on his back while in the military where they removed 2 disc and determined he had arthritis in his knees. He has never gotten an increase since his initial rating. I was going through his file and I saw where a military doctor wrote in his progress notes and his commander requested that he be medically retired from active duty. He was sent to a VA for evaluation and was given a 30% rating for back and knees. He was also being charged a co-payment for medication for his service connected medication. We submitted a cla…

Nod
I drove the 25 miles to the VA Regional Office today to file my most recent NOD. Even though I should not have to hand deliver these documents to the VA I feel much better getting the date stamped copy to put in my file. Little things like that can mean the difference between winning and losing. If I feel strongly enough to file a claim I might as well do it right. If I lose I want it not due to some mistake I made due to a lack of care.

National Alert!
Many have heard the many promises of the Veterans Affairs. Well one of these recent promises are coming to light very soon. August 31, 2007, the VA is scheduled to being ops based out of the Canadaigua VA Medical Center in NYS. It will be staffed with health professionals, allegedly, and is slated to operate 7/24. Program coordinators, mental health proffesionals, hotline staffing, clinicians and non-clinicians are obligated to take part of all the training on warning signs for suicide, guide vets into care and work with teh facilities to identify veterans at risk. Recently, the VA allegedly convened a four day mental health forum in DC with the Departments top men…

Motion For Reconsideration Of Bva Decision
Hi, The Reconsideration Board granted my Motion for Reconsideration. I am either lucky or I made one Hell of an Argument. Because from I have been reading this does not happen very often. I have until Monday to answer as to whether or not I have anything more to say. I have gotten this far, but what concerns me is the fact that the Reconsideration Review Panel found some kind of Error of Fact or Law. Their ruling does not state what Error of Fact or Law they found. Please someone help me determine exactly how to go forward.

tdiu How Do You Know If Tdiu Is Total And Permanent?
By researching the forum here on HADIT.com I have found that if you get chapter 35 benefits you are considered total and permanent at 100% IU. I received my TDIU today and it states "No examination will be scheduled in the future" under the "WHat did we decide section" Also in the Decision area it says 1.Entitlement to IU is granted. but 2. says Basic eligibility to DEA is established. is this the same as all of the Chapter 35 benefits? Basic eligibility? Does this make me total and permanent? Thanks, Tamara

ptsd No More P & T Under Dole - Shalala Report
It's my understanding (and I also received return agreement e-mail from Larry Scott) if the Dole-Shalala Report is followed, VA Comp and Pensions will be turned on their head. There won't be a P & T status. The VA will re-evaluate all Disabled vets every 3 years and make a determination if thier disability has gotten better or worse. From experience, VA will be ORDERED to say Condition has improved and cut Compensation to save more money to rebuild Iraq and give more tax breaks for the wealthy. Look at what DOD is doing now to combat vets from Iraq by giving them "Personality Disorder" Discharges instead of treatment for PTSD and in order to save money for the governm…

This Dva "flap" Is Ongoing Like Never Before!
In the past several months, people have really been raising hell about how our troops are not being given their due diligence, and how the VA is mistreating our nations Veterans. A newly filed Lawsuit (filed against the DVA by the Disability Rights Advocates)hits home, and will force the Gov't. to further review the way that the VA conducts business. I'm sure more lawsuits will follow. The "Flap" is more ongoing than I've seen in years. The Congress, Senate and even Bush are raising the bar, by saying that the DVA is broken and needs to be overhauled! TWO Secretarys resigned since bush stole office in 2002. To date, a successor hasn't been named yet. I've ad…
