Getting decision letters via VA 1800 #
I had been trying to get copies of a decision letter and due to COVID and distance to VARO kept me from getting those easily. I wrote a few letters to the VARO with no response for months After posting here on HADIT someone said to call the 1800 # I had great luck with this. You will run the gauntlet of standard VA "are you going to hurt yourself" and then they ask you to say what you want. Say "letters" they will confirm that you want forms and letters, say yes. You will then be asked to input your social, date of birth and will be connected with a VA rep. You will need to know the rough month/year of the decision and then they can either mail, fax o…

CHAMPVA and Dependents' Education Assistance
Hello everyone and a big thank you to everyone on this page for the posts that I have read while going through my process. I am currently rated at 100% schedular. Today I received a letter from the VA in the mail with a rating decision stating that I currently have a total service-connected disability, permanent in nature. I have looked on the VA website for info about the CHAMPVA but it seems very limited in detail. Does anyone have insight on that? Thank you for any reply ahead of time! Alan

Stressor verification
Which do they normally do first, C&P exam or stressor verification? I've had a C&P, and now they are doing the stressor. This is a result of a DTA from a higher level review

Are Claim Decisions Made Individual or As a Group When Submitting More Than One?
I am preparing multiple "New" claims to be submitted on the VA Form 21-526EZ. Does the VA make an individual decision/rating on each claim; then sends you a notification for the individual claim that's rated (or) Waits till all the decision/rating for the claims submitted on the VA Form 21-526EZ to be rated? If I have an Intent To File Claim on File, once (1) of the claim has been decided upon or rated; will the rest of the claims on the form be treated as "Normal Claims" (or) Will they all have the same date as indicated on the Intent To File?

VA disability exact percentage
I have 30, 20, 10 on right knee and 10 on left knee. I also have 20,20,20,20,20,10,10,10,10. I come up with 55 on my knees and bilateral 5.5%. Total of 90 plus 5.5 is 95.5 % total. Is this correct?

Intent To File
In 2012, I was denied for left knee laxity as a secondary condition to left knee arthritis. I recently came across medical documentation in my file regarding two complaints/incidents of a loose knee while on active duty. I know to get a previous denial opened you would need a supplemental claim form; however can I file left knee laxity on a direct service basis with intent to file? Or do I have to go back through the denied secondary connection route with a supplemental claim? All answers are welcomed.

Going after Sleep Apnea again
Hey guys, another question. I'm going after Sleep Apnea again this time through secondary claim from PTSD. Probably should have done it this way to begin with. Rated at 30% for PTSD but going for an increase on that too. Am I wasting my time?

C&P exam
Ok, I got copy of C&P looks like 100%. They are doing stressor verification now. I'm already service connected for tinnitus. In the C&P for major depressive disorder it states, Medical diagnoses relevant to the understanding or management of the mental disorder, tinnitus, chronic pain. What does that mean? Is that stating service connection because of tinnitus?
