ptsd Change In Diagnosis
I am currently receiving 80% s/c. 50% is for the major depression disorder. I filled for a notice of disagreement through the DAV to the DRO holding my file. I felt like the decision for the depression was not high enough because of my symptoms and that I have had a hospital stay during this filling with the VA. Since my stay at the Hospital I have been diagnosed with Bipolar and PTSD. should I send this information in to the DRO?

C & P Not Entered Yet
I know it varies from case to case, but how long does it normally take for the C & P examiner to input the results in the computer? I had my C&P on December 3, 2009 for an increase for my knee and its still not in there. The C&P I had before this one took less than a month for the results. Guess I got lucky on that one.

Va Website Entry Page
Nice to see a facility for homeless female Veterans and children, now if we can only move Women Veterans off the bottom of the page as a 'special program'. Someday we'll be considered equally a Female Veteran for VA care. Sure took alot to get where we're at. When calling the VA even in 2010, I am asked 9 of 10 times 'are you the veteran'? Or in person at a VA desk, person facing person "quote/unquote "can I have THE veterans ssan?" a rare vent, no apologies, but the truth. Grateful for each veteran and family member getting benefits due. Cowgirl

This Is A Joke Is You Don't Like Them Don't Read
A TRIP TO COSTCO Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog, and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that…

Please Allow Me To Vent
Last Friday I got a message on my home phone and on my cell phone from the local VA medical clinic from a man who said that he needed to talk to me. Great. Except he left no name, no call back number or extension on either message. So, a few minutes ago I called the number on the caller ID, and after waiting forever the scheduling people answered, but they did not call me, transferred to the Operator, nope, not her, transferred to another department, nope, will after a few more transfers I'm back at the scheduling department and the lady ask me what am I doing back? It is like a three ring cirus and the clown is in charge. Now, if I do not show up for an appointment,…

Finally Getting C&p Exam
It's been quite a while since I posted. I filed a claim for service connection for MS a couple of years ago which was denied. I reopened the claim and was again denied. Both denials were made without the benefit of a C&P exam. The last denial stated that my doctor in his IMO did not give a medical rationale for his opinion. So in late November of this year, I had the claim reopened again and submitted a new letter from my VA neurologist that provided the requested rationale. Well, today I found out from the 800 # that a request for a C&P has finally been made. I'm not sure what to make of this: whether 1) the C&P is to refute my neurologist's opinion of servic…
