The Passing Of My Mom
I have not been around much during the last few months. This was due to my mom being diagnosed with small cell lung cancer last Apr. She fought with it until approx 2 AM this morning at which time she passed away. I want to thank all of my Hadit friends for keeping me sane during this time as no matter what kind of day we had with her just a peek at the Hadit site reminded me that when she passed I was still loved by my wife and family and all of my Hadit family. Thank each and ever one of you that brought a smile to my face during these trying times. I should be back in a couple to three weeks. Ricky

Ms. Perez
If the story is true, And I can't see why it isn't. This is what our government thinks of us. Instead of firing her on the spot, they moved her, FROM TEXAS, which means either the HOUSTON OR WACO AREA, to Philly. She should have been removed from her post, or at the very least publicly demoted to GS-9...see va watchdog...

Va Medical Opinions
My husband's claim for lung cancer is on the basis that his lung cancer began while he was in the service. He had a 3.1 cm tumor of slow growing cancer removed 2 years after his retirement. He also claimed - as a secondary basis - that his exposure to asbestos - working as an electrician for 13 years (before safety equipment was used) contributed to the development of his cancer. Though he was not able to get an actual written opinion from his base doctors (they said the attorneys won't let them write them) - he does have documentation within his post service medical records indicating probable exposure to asbestos - and the relative risk - and indicating the typical g…

ptsd More On Va Shreddergate Exposed
More on VA Shreddergate Exposed February 2, 2010 by Robert L. Hanafin · 5 Comments Shreddergate In the past two years we at Veterans Today have been following and reporting on Department of Veterans Affairs attempts to cut costs by shredding or otherwise destroying Veterans claims mostly for PTSD. Both our Managing Editor Bob Higgins and Senior Editor Gordon Duff reported on aspect of this in Loss of Veteran Records Still Continues AND VA “Shreddergate” Whistleblower Still in Prison. Now it has been revealed in a lawsuit filed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) against the VA that seeks investigation after the Department of Vet…

ptsd Loving It....not
I placed my claim Dec of 08 and nothing is happening with it. My VSO says that the VA is waiting on the request of info from DOD and the VSO said he called the DOD. They told him they have not rec'd a request. I went thru this for 4 months with my PTSD docs office where they sent the info each time but the VA was saying they never rec'd it. Im lsing my friggin mind over this. My disability is going to run out and I have a bad feeling about income from long term diosability..... I am so screwed right now..... I sent congressman Farr's office my info and signed a release but I do not have confidence much will be done about it......

Is This The Plan
Unfortunately, the Veteran died during the pendency of the appeal. As a matter of law, appellants' claims do not survive their deaths. Zevalkink v. Brown, 102 F.3d 1236, 1243-44 (Fed. Cir. 1996); Smith v. Brown, 10 Vet. App. 330, 333-34 (1997); Landicho v. Brown, 7 Vet. App. 42, 47 (1994). This appeal on the merits has become moot by virtue of the death of the Veteran and must be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction. See 38 U.S.C.A. 7104(a) (West 2002); 38 C.F.R. 20.1302 (2008). In reaching this determination, the Board intimates no opinion as to the merits of this appeal or to any derivative claim brought by a survivor of the Veteran. 38 C.F.R. 20.11…

hypertension Cervical Radialculopathy Or Carpel Tunnel
Was Medically discharged in 2000 and received a disability rating of 20% left knee lateral laxity and 10% hypertension. Was denied for hearing loss and cyst on my right wrist. Beside cyst on right wrist there was written, (NWG). Not well grounded. After gathering up all local ER records today from 2000 to present I found some interesting info. At one of the local hospitals I had been seen on 10/26/2000 for right wrist pain and numbness and right shoulder pain that radiates in the neck. The doc wrote most likely carpel tunnels, versus the ganglion cyst that I claimed in the Service. On 12/14/2000 I was seen again for hand numbness and shoulder pain that radiates into the …

ptsd Ptsd Nod
B) I just filled an NOD for PTSD currently rated at 30%. I asked for my Va mental health records to gather all the info I need to try to have a sucessful claim. I got my records about a week ago. I was going trought my mental health recs and notice that my Psychiatric haven't been documenting everything I tell Him when I go see him in our one on one sections once every two months. I have told him a lot of my struggles with PTSD symptoms like having negative tougths, feeling depress, anger problemsand so on. How can I ask him to start doing what he's supposed to do, that is documenting everything, whitout getting him mad in a polite way. I'm just so mad because I file the…

C&p Results
The Vet meets the criteria for Depression disorder not otherwise specified. It is least as likely as not that the depresive disorder is due to the veterans service connected residual of lumbar strain with degenerative disk disease. The Psych doctor I see at the VA gav me a GAF of 45/50 the last time I saw him (OCT 09) but there is no GAF score with the C&P. What should I go by for % of disability? I also asked for an increase for DDD as I retired from the Veterans Health Administration due to being unable to perform duties as assigned.
