lumbosacral Chronic Pain Syndrome?
I was told by a member that I may be able to file for Chronic Pain Syndrome for my "so-called" lumbosacral strain in which Ireally is a bulging disc. Does anyone have any information about that? Also, I know that I spoke of it in a previous post, but would having a bulging disc classify as IVDS?

Roanoke Va Building
http://www.vawatchdog.org/10/nf10/nfjan10/nf012010-4.htm It could possibly collapse due to the overload of so many claims there. I imagine that VA employees might be working in very unsafe conditions at some of these VAROs where stacks of folders might be compromising ways to any exits in an emergency. Hope the ROs have good fire prevention systems -then again-those alarm triggered water sprayers could easily damage plenty of claims if they went off. This is a very serious situation. Which the VA-in great part-has allowed to occur.

Claim Closed On 1/16 But No Letter Generated
According to IRIS and the 800# my claim was closed out on 1/16 (Sat) but there is no record of any letter being generated. Any ideas on what's going on? I am still rated 40% with no changes. It sounds like my claim was denied.

Apology
If I have been short with you or lacked empathy I apologize profusely. I have not been myself and have been dealing with my Irish Temper something I thought I had better control of for a long time. An old Hadit Member Kim who was third party for MTSkull taught me that restraint of tongue and pen is the way to go. Until I feel better I am going to ease back but not completely. If I see something that needs addressing I will but I am going to let others answer new Veterans questions. I plan to welcome and greet and try to offer moral support. I guess that the long and short of it is that we never get well just have remissions. I have asked for appointments to see D…

Dod Shows First Signs Of Acknowledging Burn-pit Woes
DoD shows first signs of acknowledging burn-pit woes http://usweb07v.newsmemory.com/ee/armytime...&selDate=20 100125&goTo=A008&artid=2 By Kelly Kennedy 1/25/2010, page A11, Army Times kellykennedy@militarytimes.com Just after returning home from Afghanistan in 2002, Army Maj. Gen. Michael Dunlavey collapsed from what doctors first thought was a “near-fatal” heart attack. “But I’m a general and a judge,” he said with a laugh. “I never use my heart.” His blood work showed that it was actually a viral infection that had hit him “like a freight train.” After the attack, the then-56year-old nonsmoker developed a constant cough and he could nev…

Seperation Medical Exam
Good afternoon, I separated from the USAF active duty in 1991 (4+years active) and put in a recent request for my records from the NRPC. I just receveied a copy of my 214 along with entry physical. I was also requesting a copy of my seperation medical exam. I was surprised to only see two pages regarding my seperation exam(request). The form states that I elected to have an exam during my out processing, but apparently the way the air force works is that they make the call and the form states that they reviewed my medical records and that a physical exam is not required. Does this hurt or affect my claim to the VA? I haven't surgery etc...in my smr's but no …

Title 38: Pensions, Bonuses, And Veterans' Relief
Anybody ever use the following suptitle. If so, what were the results. Berta, carlie, Larry, please feel free to chime in: § 4.22 Rating of disabilities aggravated by active service. top In cases involving aggravation by active service, the rating will reflect only the degree of disability over and above the degree existing at the time of entrance into the active service, whether the particular condition was noted at the time of entrance into the active service, or it is determined upon the evidence of record to have existed at that time. It is necessary therefore, in all cases of this character to deduct from the present degree of disability the degree,…

18,000 Pay Statements Sent To Wrong Address
Recently, 18,000 pay statements were sent to the wrong address. Story here: http://www.armytimes.com/news/2010/01/mili...errors_011410w/ Also recently there has been a case where the court said that it was a "presumption of regularity" that once the VA claims they mailed the notice of the Veterans C and P exam, the Veteran was assumed to have received it, and the claim will be automatically denied because the Veteran failed to attend the C and P exam...no second chances, and no excuses that he didnt receive the notice. This case is here: http://www.vawatchdog.org/10/nf10/nfjan10/nf011610-1.htm I wonder if it was possible that the Veteran never received the noti…

Ratings Of The Spine
I have recently received an x-ray report that shows injury to the spine in the Cervical, Thoracic, and lumbar. I am currently rated at 20% for my neck based on a cervical MRI. The injury is from a parachute accident(service connected). I did seek medical help in service which is documented(how I got my cervical rating). I do not have any limit in the range of motion, just pain. I do not understand how they rate the spine. I will list my x-ray report. Any idea of what kind of rating I should expect and insist on based on the x-ray, pain, and little if any loss of range of motion? Cervical Spine: Reversal of cervical lordosis, spondylitic changes. Clinical c…
