Agent Orange Question
Hey, all. I scanned through a little and didn't see anything that I am looking for. My husband was stationed at Seneca Army Depot around 1975ish as a Special Weapons Guard. They sprayed Agent Orange as a defoliant around the base. Does this qualify for the new recognition of Agent Orange related illnesses as service-connected disabilities? I don't really know where to look. I read the article to my husband from the VA website, and he said that it should qualify, but he can't imagine the Army would admit that they used it. Anywhere I can look? Or does anyone have information? Thanks in advance. :D

Va's New Ao Presumptives
The VA criteria for the Presumptive diseases are inclusive of the B cell types of Lukemia. October 13, 2009 Secretary Shinseki decided to establish service-connection for Vietnam Veterans with B cell leukemias, such as hairy cell leukemia; Parkinson’s disease; and ischemic heart disease. This is based on an independent study by the Institute of Medicine showing an association with exposure to Agent Orange. Vietnam veterans with these diseases may be eligible for disability compensation and health care benefits. B-cell leukemia B-cell leukemia describes several different types of lymphoid leukemia which affect B cells. Types include (with ICD-O code): 9823/3 - B-c…

How Does A Wife File For Widows Pension?
I am 100% T&P as of 2002. If I were to die tomorrow, what pension or benefits would my wife of 5 years be entitled to? My wife actually reads the 2009 Benefits for Veterans guide, and she thinks she saw something that said she gets no pension unless I have been 100% T&P for 10 years or more. Anyone have any clarifications? Thanks in advance!

diabetes The Role Of New Media In The Veterans Benefits Arena
http://www4.va.gov/vbs/bva/manuals/vlr1deutsch.pdf The Role of New Media in the Veterans Benefits Arena Emily Woodward Deutsch and Michael Donohue1 INTRODUCTION The number of claims for benefits processed by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is growing. By 2009 there will be an estimated 872,000 claims filed,2 a 51 percent increase since 2000.3 Complicating matters further, both the size and complexity of cases are expanding. Sc Medication Vs. Private Insurance
Due to the new year, I was reviewing my private health insurance accounts. I noticed the VA is filing claims against my private insurance plan for medication prescribed to treat SC conditions. For example, the VA prescribed me Ibuprofin 800mg (and other medications) on 12/24/2009 for treatment of TMJ. I am 10% SC for TMJ. Because the medication was to treat an SC condition, I do not have to pay the VA the $8.00 co-pay, but a charge was still filed against my private insurance by the VA. Are they allowed to do this? I thought this was only allowed for non-SC conditions.

ptsd Asking For P&t, File A Nod, Or A New Claim?
I had a decision rated earlier this year on a re-eval for PTSD, stating that my rating hadn't changed. Last year I mean. Should I file a NOD stating that I think they should have rated P&T, I have new evidence from the PTSD group program I went through as well as my SSDI that I don't believe they have looked at in making my last rating when they gave me TDIU. This last re-eval was just off of the original PTSD rating. Or do I need to file a new claim form asking for P&T with the new evidence. Also what is the form number for SSOC. Sorry to ask this, but I have spent a good portion of the afternoon trying to locate these forms and info, but can't find them…
