tdiu What Is P & T?
I have searched the board, but can't find anything that actually says what the two letters stand for. I'm thinking it has something to do with unemployability though. Right? I did find this link in another post here which breaks down a lot of common acronyms used on this board but P & T wasn't listed. http://www.hadit.com/index.php?categoryid=33 Thanks

Cue Question
Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is well I haven't been on for a while. As much as I have learned over the years about VA law I never can seem to grasp the exact meaning of a cue. I have a buddy who I was in the Corps with and he asked me to take a look at his case. The short story is he was on on active duty 94-98. While on off hours he was accidentally shot in the leg. I was already out by then so I don't know the whole story with his treatment while he was in but he finally filed for service connection in 2007. I guess he missed seps class and didn't know about filing as soon as he got out. Well they service connected him obviously because it happened while he was …

Not Claim Related, But Can Show You How Depression Works On Your Mind
My Tom Cat that I have raised from a kitten and who used to sleep next to me at night has turned ferrel since I brought home a female kitten nearly a year ago. He still comes home most days to be fed, but he will no longer allow me to pick him up without trying to scratch and bite me, nor does he respond anymore to being called to meal time, when I normally feed the other cat. I do seperate the two when feeding them and I do provide seperate feeding dishes. If I try to keep him inside he puts up such a fuss and claws at the pet door with such force, he has caused some small damage to the pet door incasement. He is no longer around 99% of the time when he used to give …

tdiu National Service Life Insurance Policy
I was granted TDIU 100% (no exams, etc) earlier this year.I requested the $10,000 life insurance benefit.Just received policy(?) and a seperate letter from VA,refering to a VA Form 29-357,which is to follow. The VA letter says to fill out the form and to include a copy of Social Security disability letter if received. I am a little paranoid about this whole process? How does it work, etc. I don't want to do anything to mess up my TDIU status, etc. I don't want to be called in for new exams, etc. If you have been through this process please advise-Thanks

Iris
I finally got an Iris from a request for status of appeal Iris from November 5th at 10:36 PM last night stating "A letter on your Appeal was mailed today and you should get it sometime next week." I am hoping that it's a decision letter, this appeal has been going on since 2005. I have had two surgeries on this claim that is service connected. Keeping my fingers cross on this one!

Va Mistake?
hey guys, i just received a decision for increase from he VA. i was awarded a10% increase for upper extremities secondary to my cervical arthritis. the increase put me at 60%. but, there lies the issue. im receiving 30% for pes cavus, 10% for left foot scar, 10% for right foot scar,10% for cervical arthritis and 10% for upper extremities pain ( fingers, shoulder, arms). according to the VA calculator, thats a solid 54%. which means im still at 50%, but the letter states that im at 60%. am i missing something here?

Gulf War Registry Exam
I had a gulf war registry exam completed on 10/29/09 and was wondering if anybody knows what information the VA is looking for? I filed a claim for gulf war syndrome which was denied but I have since re-opened the claim with new medical evidence and had the gulf war exam done. I got a copy of the report and summary of findings which is in my opinion already in my medical records. Does anybody know how the exam will be used for my disability?

Dependents Educational Assistance Program
I recieved a letter from the VA today stating, "We are writing you as the parent or guardian of a boy or girl who my be eligible for Educational Assistance under laws administered by the Veterans Administration." It also came with VA Pamphlet 22-73-3, Revised. Anybody else get this? Did it go out to every vet? I researched it and the eligibilty below doesn't apply to me. I'm a bit confused here. Eligibility You must be the son, daughter, or spouse of: A veteran who died or is permanently and totally disabled as the result of a service-connected disability. The disability must arise out of active service in the Armed Forces. A veteran who died from any caus…

Question About Re-opened Claims.
Am I right to assume that any re-opened claim with new and material evidence, whether the claim is specified or not, that any Service connected condition must be looked at as if it were an implied claim for increase? I'll try to explain this another way. If I re-open a claim for say a foot condition, but I have other Service conneceted condition of record. must the VA consider the other claims as an implied claim for increase as well? Rockhound Rider
