tdiu C & P
I filed TDIU last month and today I went in for one of my several sheduled C & P exams. This " Gen'l Medical Examintion" took less than a hour. The doc, who was a Asia woman, asked for a medical history of me being hospitalize from day one & for what, she read from a questionaire. Plus she made me stripped and gave me a complete physical. She was very angry with the VAMC because her High Blood Pressure machine was broken & she had been trying to get another one so she jump the supervisor. I egged her on & told her that the VA treat her like they treat all veterans. As I was leaving she wished me "good luck". babyray

Where's My Gaf's Now ?
Have anyone noticed the psychologists do not include GAF's on medical/psychological visits records anymore? I get copies of all my medical records and visits at least once a month for all visits that month. I have been asking my psychologists where the GAF? they all said they do not utalize the use of it on their records. This has been over a year now. I even asked for them to put it on at least one as my appointments records and they state they won't. They say too much emphasis has been placed on using the #'s in the past and they are not likely to be used during normal counseling sessions. I told them I didn't want to leave anything open for the VA to come …

Question About Secondary Conditions
I have hives (urticaria) which are more or less controled with medication (daily tablet for the last 9 years). Anyway I saw a dermatologist who through blood work exams told me I have an auto-immune system problem and this auto-immune problem is what is causing my hives. I was wondering if this would be considered 2 different claims? 1. Claim for the auto-immune system problem 2. Claim for the hives caused by the AI problems. Also can being on long term meds be considered a third claim? I am active duty so all this should be service connected. Thanks Rob

ptsd Va Form 21-4192
I was layed off because of a reduction in force from a large school district,I always had excellent evaluations and was senior to the other employees who were not let go. I am rated 70% ,30% ptsd ,20,20,10,10,10,10," the other % is DM11,combat wounds" I just put in a claim for IHD secondary to agent orange, The DAV service officer told me to also put a claim in for Iu. I would like to know how va form 21-4192 works ,does the va send form to employer or send it to me to bring to employer. The reason i ask is being i worked for a large school district the form would go to HR department and they would not know me personally, I think it would be better if i brought form to …

A Comment On Award Of Iu As P&t
In a recent topic or two about how do you know if they've rated your IU as P&T, (permanent & total) it was said VA won't come right out and say it on the award letter. Well, they pretty much did on mine... One comment... "We enclosed a form 21-8764 'Additional Information for veterans with Service-Connected Permanent and Total Disability." That's a pretty good indicator. But I would call this a clincher. It is item 6 of my decision letter, "Eligibility to dependents educational assistance under 38 USC Chapter 35" Therein it says,... "As there is no indication of improvement in the service-connected disabilities which render you unemployable, you are cons…

lumbosacral Back Surgery- To Cut- Or, Not To Cut--
Ok.I have back problems. Not necessarily all that bad either by the standards here. I had an MRI on the lower back and one day, right out of the blue, my PCP from VAMC (he's a good doctor, really) calls me on the phone and asks me if I want back surgery. :D :( "Uhhh, can we talk about it first?" I says. That was the first I heard about it. Well, in a week about, I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon to "talk about it." Ok. I'm scared. My award letter says I have DJD, lumbosacral spine. I know I have some narrowing of the discs. I remember doctor K saying some nerves are getting compressed where they come out... wherever that is. The doctor said I'…

tdiu Tdiu
Back in 98 I filed and won SSA for depression from hep c. With the help of a lawyer and a VA Dr I won the SSA case. I have since filed for Hep C depression and cirrhosis with the VA and was low balled at 10% for HepC. With the depression and cirrhosis remanded. They are at the AMC waiting for a rating. My question is they VARO has know since 2005 about the depression issue as stated in my denial in 2005 on a SSOC denied because my hep C was not granted at that time. I have been unable to work since 98 from depression related to hep c. Now I have cirrhosis, Peripheral neuropathy and GERD all diagnosed by the VAMC. Can I file for TDIU while waiting for the rating on depress…

diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy Won By Non-diabetic.
I posted the following comments as a reply on another topic. but it reminded me that I have oft heard that it's practically impossible to win Peripheral Neuropathy if you are not diabetic. Well, I was awarded PN sc and I am not diabetic. I hereby post my particulars on the chance they may benefit somebody in a alike situation... I have a granted peripheral neuropathy claim and I am not diabetic. I just got it (the award that is) in fact. The award decision says- "Service Connection for peripheral neuropathy, bilateral lower extremities." it was established as "related to the service connected degenerative joint disease, lumbar spine." I had a heck of a…
