Va Claim
I posted here at the very beginning of my adventure with the VA. I wrote my claim myself and used the AL to assist at the RO for submittals, etc. In Nov. 08, I filed a claim for Multiple Myeloma presumptive to AO exposure. My claim had an additional 8 items that were claimed as secondary or residual and awarded. I recieved "official" notice today...my claim has been decided and awarded. 100% P&T, w/housebound, retro to Nov. 08. My claim was awarded almost precisely for what I claimsed. Only two minor denials and the evidence was clear that those two werenot secdondary What a relief and now we(spouse and me) have a real sense of calm and repose.

From Personality Disorder To Adjustment Disorder
I was honorably discharged from the navy in october, 1983 for personality disorder of mixed schizoid and schizotypal features. in november, 1983 i filed a claim for mental disorder. in may, 1985 i had my c & p exam and was diagnosed with adjustment disorder but they said it was non-compensable which was true. was i service connected at that time? in 2000, i reopened my claim and was told the same thing, you have adjustment disorder which is non-compensable. well, as of 11-7-96 it had become compensable. should the va had given me a percentage in 2000? did they make an error and would this be a reason to file a cue claim? if so, what is the best way to do one? do you f…

C-file
I previously requested and received a copy of my C-File and I remember it said you can only get one copy. Is it possible to get a copy of the new material since the first request? I have a new 40% rating for Cognitive Order NOS with residual of TBI, but I believe it should be 70% based on the testing results and want to see what, if any, information the rating official reviewed other than the info I submitted. thanks SignalSix

Hey ya'll. I just wanted to say Hi and thanks for all your help. I filed a BDD claim when I retired from the Army on 1 AUG and got the results back today as 90%. Thanks so much, I am here, still struggling with the fog and trying to find a good cocktail mix to get me back on my feet so to speak.. I LOVE YOU GUYS..... Erich

Just Royally Frustrated...
Waiting. Waiting.. Waiting... You know, it's one thing when there's no end in sight. But when there well may be, when it's almost there, and you know they're just sitting on it... Mostly just a rant... I have heard from my service rep. According to him, I have a rating. Mine is a detailed claim and he didn't see all the details. That and not having anything in print, I really don't want to name anything... But the retro could be considerable. Apparently that is the reason they need 3 signatures before releasing the rating. Anyway, the claim has gone to a supervisor ("coach" they call them at Waco), who was supposed to assign it to someone who can handle that. …

ptsd Why Is It So Hard For Us To Recover From Being Suicidal
Why is it so hard for us to recover from being suicidal Combat veterans, sexual assault survivors, and other victims of trauma are vulnerable to a condition called Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). People with PTSD suffer from a range of symptoms that interfere with their capacities to enjoy normal life.
