Just curious if anyone ever got a Staph infection from a surgery-and if so does it show up unexpectedly at any time? Anyone Know How To Speed Up A Claim?
I underwent spine surgery on 7/08/2009 for my service-connected disability of Lower Back Injury Annular Tear and Herniation at L4-L5. I was released from the hospital on 7/12/2009 with discharge orders from my doctor stating that the total time for convalescence after surgery would be three months. Through my VSO I submitted the discharge orders and letter from the physician stating the allowed convalescence period for this type of surgery on 7/15/2009. sent in a Request Temporary Disability Rating of 100% under 38 CFR 4.30 for surgery on Service Connected Condition of Lower Back Injury Annular Tear and Herniation L4-L5 necessitating three months of convalescence. Does…

Is This A New Tactic From Va
First letter I received was a SSOC and it stated in the closing: "We hope the above information is helpful." Second letter I received was a partial increase of award and it stated in the closing: "We look forward to resolving the rest of your claim in a fair and timely manner." I have received many letters from VA but none of them had these closing comments, am I just reading into nothing or is VA trying to make me feel they really care. I know they don't but just wanting to know if anyone else have received something like this.

What Should I Expect?
Guys and Gals, Quick question based on your experiences...I recently filed for disablity due to IBS. This is a presumptive condition base on the Gulf War. My first doctors visit was in 1991 and another in 1998. I just filed this as a service connected because I just found out that this was a presumptive condition. What should I expect???? Would they possibly back pay the disability back to the first doctors appointment??? I don't expect that to happen but they did back pay my previous disability claim. If they did, WOW...that check could be huge... Let me know what you think will happen and I'll do my best to keep all of you updated. I go Monday for my C&…
