Missed Appt
I really need some help. I am part of the BDD (filing VA claim while processing for retirement from military). I had my 1st C/p which was phase 2 of my retirement physical and then my Nurse Pratictioner scheduled me for a Psyc eval for depression. She called and sccheduld the appointment and as she said it I wrote it down. 10:00 today- when I showed up for appointment they said it was scheduled for 10:00 yesterday and I no showed it. Now they say they can not reschedule it until I officially retire and get my initial claim. Some how this does not seem fair. My actual retirement date is not until Aug, which is when the claim will be adjudicated. I know without the C/P exa…

When Surgery Is Recommended To Repair Injury
Taking my example. I had a fractured Nasal Bone, in the service, rated at 0% SC, resulting in a deviated septum, that along with a chronic sinusitis condition, causes blockage of the nasal passages, most of the time. Surgery is recommended to repair deviated septum, only this procedure posses a risk to the Vet for the following reasons. Not a good candidate for surgery due to a autoimmune desease called Sarcoidosis, which could cause scaring more severe than normal because of the over active immune system associated with Sarcoidosis also a condition known as nocturnal hypoxia, associated with minor obstructive sleep apnea, treated with the use of oxygen, supplied b…

ptsd Some Med Linkage From Tbi
http://www.vawatchdog.org/08/nf08/nfJAN08/nf013108-3.htm These two new reports are very interesting- It seems to me just outright ridiculous to see the high rate of PD diagnosis in newly returning veterans-when in fact they could have PTSD or TBI residuals- or even both. The VA is starting to look into the TBI situation better then they did- they should have done that when we first got into Iraq- an IED is almost like a land mine- in its affects-and I would imagine many Vietnam Vets have TBI due to explosions that the VA still has not diagnosed.

C & P Medical Exam
I had a C&P exam last August (gen medical). The VARO deferred my claim for ss records. I had my SS hearing 22 JAN. ALJ ruled in my favor. VARO has received SS records. Got a letter in mail today for a C&P exam on the 11th of this month. same clinic as before but different provider. Seems odd to me that they would spend the money for another exam before adjudicating my claim based on the one I just had. Anyone?
