Meniscus Tear and ACL Completely Torn - Service connection advice?
Any advice appreciated. Do I actually have a valid claim? I suck at this stuff and want honest advice. I was a Loadmaster who experienced frequent tears in my right knee since 2012. I stepped on a roller wrong and something popped, knee swolled up and couldnt put much weight on it for a week. This usually happens every other month. Seperated in 2014. I usually just rested for a week or so as it healed up and I would usually just shift my weight on my left leg and hobble around. At my date of seperation, I went to the VA and put down my Right Knee as an issue. "Right Knee Instability". In 2014, seen the VA rater and they asked me how I could use it. I was blatant…

Filing a claim for GERD under Gulf War presumptive
Haven't posted in years. I was diagnosed with GERD along with gastric polyps, duodenal ulcer, and unintentional weight loss. I am a gulf war veteran can I file a claim under the gulf war presumptive list? The doctor also stated that it is a possibility that the long term use of the meloxicam they prescribed for foot and ankle pain caused it also, which would be easier?

Do I qualify for SMC?
I have not looked into SMC yet. Do not know if I qualify. I am finding that I do not quite qualify for caregiver qualified monetary support by get things like bathroom supports installed. Did not apply for but may have gotten the electric bed with the incline I need to sleep. Spent a year in sleeping in a recliner before getting the king size split electric bed with hospital like head and foot adjustments plus a vibrator to prevent bed sores when I spend a lot of time in bed like when I fractured my kneecap from a fall last year. Would appreciate a reference to a question raised on the subject. If none I will ask my own question.

Insomnia - Tinnitus Combined Rating
I have a similar thing that is very confusing. I filed for Insomnia secondary to Tinnitus which was granted. My letter states: The evaluation of tinnitus to include insomnia is continued as 10 percent disabling. We have granted your claim for insomnia and have combined it with your service-connected tinnitus. (38 CFR 4.130) I thought the insomnia claim if granted received it's own rating under mental health disorders. I went through a mental health C&P to get this approved and the psychiatrist filled out a mental health DBQ? I received no rating for the insomnia and when I called VA they simply said it was combined with your tinnitus. Anym…

Additional Claim - Flat Feet and plantar fasciitis
Hi All, I don't exactly have a question. I opened another claim for Flat Feet and plantar fasciitis, since I got back my military medical records and I saw where I went to get treatment for my feet hurting before I got out of service. I forgot I even went to sick call for that. I have arch supports now, flat feet, and heel pain. So hopefully I can get something. I did a lot better job submitting my claim this time I think since I have been using this forum as a resource. I submitted a personal statement, a copy of my military doctor visit, and records I have from seeing private foot doctors. My other claim (multiple issues) is still open and I do a C&P …

Fecal Incontinence
I'm a little uneducated in filing secondary claims. I asked my Gastro PA if she would do a DBQ for my fecal incontinence secondary to IBS claim. Now I'm second guessing myself, people are telling me that for a secondary claim a NEXUS letter is almost required and a DBQ won't help much. Is this true? She won't do a NEXUS letter but I might be able to get her to enter something in my treatment notes instead of the DBQ. Can she put a short nexus note in the comment section of the DBQ and would this help any? Thanks

Bruxism and TMJ
I want to file for bruxism and TMJ secondary to PTSD. PTSD is already rated but bruxism and TMJ aren't. Can I claim TMJ secondary to bruxism and PTSD if the bruxism isn't even rated yet, I want to use the bruxism as a kicker to help win the TMJ? Most people are saying it would be a guaranteed denial for the TMJ since the bruxism isn't even rated yet. 1. Should I file for bruxism secondary to PTSD then after it's awarded file for TMJ secondary to PTSD and bruxism to strengthen the claim? 2. Should I just file for bruxism and TMJ secondary to PTSD in one claim? Thanks
