Possible To Appeal Not Enough Work Credits For Ssdi?
Hi everyone, First post here. I'm in my 30s and receiving 100% disability compensation from the VA. Prior to that I was receiving SSI. When I did the SSI/SSDI application I was denied for SSDI based on not having enough work credits. Is it possible to appeal this somehow? Is it possible to have them base their decision off an earlier age (and therefore less credits required)? In essence saying I was disabled as of such and such a date and therefore unable to work? The only problem is my VA initial application date only goes back 4 years and I don't think that even that date would be sufficient. But, I did have the disability issues and its effect on work before …

Where's My Stimulus Money?
I was told my stimulus $250.00 would be deposited with mu SSDI check...check deposited, but no money for stimulus. Do you think it will be in my compensation check on Friday? The SS office told me it would be in my bank when my SSDI funds were dispersed. Notta, zilch, zip!! Anyone else have this problem? Did anyone else get it with their SS pmt, or were you told to wait for comp check. Now I wonder if I will get it at all?? Is this associated with taxes ie if one is still paying income tax will they keep the stimulus instead of putting it on the VA comp check. We never got the other stimulus checks as we have been paying IRS since 1976. I am so sick of paying them…

Ssa Pre-hearing Case Review
I received a letter from social security last week that my case was sent from ODAR back to DDS for a pre-hearing case review. Does that mean that my case will be approved? I do have a lawyer but he did not initiate the pre-hearing case review it was initiated by the ODAR (Office of Disability and Adjudication Review).

hypertension Social Security Turned Down - Need Help
Hi Everyone, I filed a claim for SSD in April along with TDIU. I get my denial letter yesterday from SS. I noticed they had missed a ton of evidence I sent to them via fax. It seemed like they only used records they requested. I have a reconsideration call on 7/10. I know my way around the VA but SSD is new to me. Here is the quick version of my story if possible: Currently 80% disabled vet mental secondary to back 50% on appeal at varo Asthma 30% Back 20% on appeal at court lower extremity weakness secondary to back 10% (given to me by BVA) on appeal at court right foot weakness 10% on appeal at court left foot weakness 0% on appeal at court hyperten…

Ssdi And Va Question
Hey, ya'll. New to the board and I have a question. My husband is 60% service-connected. He is also receiving SSDI. He had always heard that if Social Security finds you disabled, you automatically are bumped up to 100% VA disabled. Is that true? We wanted to go to VA to find out, but we were afraid that if we did, there'd be something similar to concurrent receipt, where they'd cut his VA if they found out he received SSDI. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ssa Alj Database
http://www.oregonlive.com/special/index.ss...tabase.html?app Search judges’ decisions In response to a Freedom of Information Act request by The Oregonian, the Social Security Administration released the production numbers and approval rates for all of its administrative law judges. The agency released complete reports for 2005, 2006 and 2007. The table for 2008 covers most — but not all — of the year. To search the database, enter a judge’s name or select a year. You can sort the table by any of the categories by clicking on the category header

VA rated 100 percent sc for anxiety/depression, various other. Finally applied for SSD this year and got denial letter recently after they reviewed VAMC records, pre-VA records, etc. Should I keep trying? If VA says I can't work, how can SS come back and say I can? Con-f'in-using...

ptsd Ssi Verus Ssdi
Hi gang, I've got a question regarding SSI verus SSDI. I am currently 90% (70% PTSD-numerous other 10-20%), and will be 61 in a few months. I'm still working, but am struggling with PTSD related issues. I've heard that once you hit 62 and are drawing SSDI that the dollar amount will revert back to the regular SSI that you would normally draw at 62. Can anyone clarify? Cavtrooper088
