I called the IRIS 1-800 number yesterday and the nice rep told me that my file was sensitive 7, and had to have some one call me back. What does sensitive 7 mean? The person that called me back was very vague. Papa

I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis which has been service connected. I have read that it is possible to get the VA to either help or pay for a new bed due to the service connection. Every bed I have ever owned breaks down rather quickly and causes more pain in my lower back, which is mostly in the morning upon waking up. So I have no doubt that my bed is causing allot of my issues by aggravating my lower back To get a quality bed that don't break down (dibs in center 6" or more) with in a few years I need to purchase a quality bed. This can be very expensive as you know, and being on SSD and VA benefits only it is more than I can really afford. I do take Hydr…

I have watched for years now our 100% PT Service Connected Disabled Veterans, who served our Country, served her proudly and through no fault of their own, were injured, honorably discharged and unfortunately unable to have the opportunity to committ to a 20 year career and now being passed over and denied again and again, the benefit to be eligible for the DoD's Space A Travel Program while other non uniformed service personnel whom never served, get added into the Eligibility Categories as if they were the cat's meow! It's time to RIGHT THIS WRONG! It's time to stand up and be heard, listened too and taken seriously! Let's get the word out there! Let's get it ou…

Dear fellow Veterans: Today I sent a simple email message to my Congressional Representative George Miller. I'd encourage all Veterans to send a similar message to their Representative to advocate for this Tax neutral benefit for Disabled Veterans. You can copy my message below and adjust it accordingly. Dear Honorable Miller: Currently, I'm a Disabled Veteran, being well taken care of by the V.A. in Martinez C.A., and for that I am grateful. In the next few months, it's likely I will be rated 100% disabled due to respiratory and other challenges. Thankfully, I can still walk and hike in a limited capacity. With my limitations I can still travel, and rec…

I am rated 100% for PTSD and recently retired at 63. My wife is 62 and we are both on Social Security now that I have retired. I am purchasing Health Insurance through my previous employer for $761.00 a month just so I can cover my wife. They will not JUST cover her, I must be on the plan too. This is through KPS Health plans. Seems awfully high to me. Questions; Is there a better way (cheaper) to cover my spouse only? If so, where and how do I begin the process?

Hello Everyone I got Sleep Apnea 50% PTSD 30% GERDS 10% Flat Feet 0% for a total of 70% from the VA I just found out about SSDI last month I am only 33 but I did 10 years in the Army. I applied for SSDI and was wondering if any one ever got SSDI for any of these issues. I am currently trying to get PTSD to 50% or 70% and GERDS to 30% and Flat Feet bilateral to 30% since now I was told by VA doctors they recommend I should not walk stand or run due to my feet. He sent up an appointment for me to see Feet Doctor to get Orthopedics shoes that he told me I have to wear the rest of my life. If I knew what I knew now I could have applied for SSDI and 100% VA disabilit…

I faxed my letter explaining disability to my Tax commission and received it the next day. Signed up for personal property tax exemption also. So I have my 100% disability tax exemption and presented it to Wal-Mart but had to fill out a form for their tax exempt card, took about 30 minutes but saved $40.00 at the register.
