ptsd !00% temp award
So I got awarded a 100% temp disability rating for bipolar adjustment disorder with anxiety, depressed mood and insomnia. Even though my C&P exam showed PTSD along with many other Drs I did not receive a rating for ptsd. I was sure the C&P exam was for ptsd, but I don't know what happened because when I got there the dr told me it was for my bipolar (even though all drs beside the C&P and the original dr have ruled bipolar out). So I was given the rating based on the bipolar disorder that was wrongfully diagnosed. I'm happy to have a diagnosis that I can truly get help for, I'm entering a PTSD inpatient program Weds. However, I don't have the fight in me anymo…

lumbosacral "intervetebral Disc Syndrome" Vs "lumbosacral Strain"
would anyone know what is the difference in rating/pay between these two: "intervetebral disc syndrome" vs "lumbosacral strain" or "back strain"? mil medically discharged me with herniated disks a few months later, VA switched it to back strain over the years i have yet to have mri's that showed anything but bulging disks, severe degenerative disease, radiculopathy. so would "back strain" be correct or would "intervetebral disc syndrome" with regards to correct rating?

"YES, I have a dependent parent(s)." ?
I hope this is the correct place for this question rather than the CAREGIVER section. Anyway, here goes. My father (a 20 year honorably discharged, retired air force veteran) that is now 88 years old, now requires assistance that his wife, my stepmother (also 88 years old) is not able to provide for him as she is also, no longer capable of doing so. By next week, I will have full power of attorney over my father's healthcare, property, banking & any other assets and liabilities going forward until he passes away. While he is currently able to watch TV, dress, bath, groom, cook simple meals and feed himself, he is not able to do the following: Dr…

0% + 0% = ?
I know I heard somewhere that two 0% rated conditions equate to 10%. Is this true? Also, what about situations where there are even more multiple 0% rated conditions.....like 3 or 4 of them? Just a thought. Mark

100% Convalescent Pay For Surgery Denied?
I had a surgery in 2014 I had a nerve release in my elbow because they said it would help my already service connected tendon repair in my hand/wrist. That happen on Dec 12 and I was home bound and away from work until Jan 17 in cast for left elbow surgery but at the time it was not service connected but i file the claim 2 months after surgery and it became secondary to my already sc claim of left hand tendon repair. The rater admitted that it was valid for 100% for the month of Dec-Jan, but he told me that because it was done before It was determined as secondary and awarded as secondary, I could not get paid 100% for that month because by law they could not go …

tdiu 100% Disability
Hello. New here trying to get some answers that seem to be confussing, at least to me. I am rated at 70% disababled, 60% for heart and 10% for knee. I had to quit wok because of all the chest pain and knee pain, plus my blood pressyre is going thru the roof. I filled for a increase in benifits for these and some other items that were on the list they sent me. Also applied for unemployability (looks like works not going to let me come back). I retired from the navy in may 1988 and draw retirement pay also. Question is? If they give me 100% disability ( iu or what ever else kind of 100% there is). Do I still draw military retirement pay also? I have read abunch of differen…
