My Diagnosis Has Changed And Worsened Could My Rating Change?
Hello, My disability is listed as dysthymic disorder (Bipolar, major depressive, general anxiety). I was medically discharged from the Navy in 2013. Since then my condition has worsened and my diagnosis has been changed to schizoaffective. If Im not on medication (which rarely works) I see things that arent there and have persistent violent "voices" and or thoughts along with vivid persistent suicidal ideation mood swings depression anxiety attacks and insomnia. Ever since I have gotten out my condition keeps worsening my medications work but then dont work because my body gets used to them. Its taken 7 or more Dr's to treat me and i have been impatient as well as in…

Can I Get Dental S/c To Already S/c Eating Disorder?
I am S/C for my Eating Disorder.....I have numerous fainting spells documented which is what helped get me S/C for Anorexia Nervosa.... In November 2014 I passed out and was rushed to the VA hospital. I damaged both front teeth due to my eating disorder. I was treated for other issues while at the ER and released. I had two consults to the VA dental denied due to no S/C for my teeth. I had to get over $4,500 in dental work done on the outside. I had both my dentist and specialist dentist fill out DBQ's and I submitted them along with all receipts and I did an FDC. I filled out everything needed and submitted in Feb 2015... QUESTION...Can you get your teeth…

Denied Cervical Comp Now I Have Issues
Long story short...In May 2013 I had a cervical compensation pending but at my C/P exam in July 2013 I signed off to dismiss the claim due to the fact that I have had normal pap's for years.... History: 1990 I had cervical cancer while on AD - had surgery and since then I have been okay... Today: I had an ultrasound last month due to pain in my tummy...Conclusion - I have cyst on ovaries and they need to be removed. I go in for surgery consult on Wednesday. Is this something I should look into getting S/C? Did I lose the opportunity by denying my claim in 2013? Should I even worry about submitting a claim? Please help! Thanks, Steph

Keratoconus - Should I Bother Applying?
Hey all. I was diagnosed with keratoconus of one eye while in service and it is documented as service-connected. This eye is 20/100 uncorrected and 20/25 corrected. My other eye is 20/20 uncorrected. The info that I've found online has been contradictory. Some says that it is not ratable. Others say that as long as I am diagnosed, my eyes automatically are both 20/40 and, therefore, result in a 0% rating. Is this even worth applying for?

Claim Just Updated To "prep For A Decision" Today
Folks: I just saw the update on my ebenefits today, that it went from "Gathering of Evidence" to "Prep for a Decision" and it looks like they are still moving it along under the FDC Program for me? Also, we'll see if the 13 DBQ's that I submitted originally, will actually make a difference for me in the process? Interestingly, I've been reporting based upon the VBA Monday Workload Reports to this forum that Disability Claims outcomes are moving along very rapidly now for completion to reduce the backlog for FY 15? It has been reported as a "leadership goal" in the news over the last couple of years? I was thinking that I would hear something by the end of the summe…

Total Knee Replacement
So in 2012 i had a partial knee replacement i was already rated at 20% for my right knee. Fast forward to August 2014 i had been having difficulty with the knee never seemed to be right after the surgery but i went on with living with pain till it go to be to much, went to see my DR did x-rays and then exploratory surgery to find a torn ACL. My options were to fix it rehab it or just get the knee replaced i opted to have Knee replaced. Since i was already 20% disabled for this knee i figured it would be covered at 100%, filed my claim they sent it to an VA evaluator and his opinion said my disability had nothing to do with my original claim when i was diagnosed not once b…

ptsd Help Me!, What Should I Do Now?
I originally filed for compensation back in feb 2014, in Oct 2014 they gave me Flat Feet with Ankle Pain 50% rating Left ankle mild chronic achilles tendonitis, mild chronic tibiotalar tendonitis 10% Right ankle mild chronic achilles tendonitis, mild chronic tibiotalar tendonitis 10% PTSD 50% total rating of 80%, I received my back pay and etc. In December 2014, I filed for an increase for the PTSD, claimed some there things an individual unemployability. I just saw on ebenefits that they increased the PTSD rating to 70%, did not rate the other things as service connected, I am now rated at 90% however, there is no decision about the individual unemployability…

Never Diagnosed
I'll try to keep this brief, my last two posts ended up looking like books. I've been on a 10%SC disability since the late 80's. I've been trying since 2008 to get it increased as the condition has worsened and I never believed the condition was diagnosed correctly, they've been calling it polyarthralgia since my discharge because that's what the Navy called it. Anyway, I've taken the advice of several people on here and have gotten an IMO. I had an MRI done two weeks ago and discussed the results with my doctor. It shows 3 bulging discs in the lumbar spine causing spinal stenosis. Her diagnosis of the lumbar spine is degenerative disc desease, also have it in my neck wit…

Please Provide Link To Download 5103 Waiver Form
Folks: I was notified that my "intent to file" paperwork cannot be located so I've got to send it in again? Also, would someone please provide the link to download the 5103 Waiver Form? I think the lack of this 5103 waiver is holding up the process for me so I want to get it filled out and sent in today... At this point, I think everything else is done. It;'s interesting that the claims backlog is dropping fairly quickly now, so I wonder what the impacts are on claims quality?
