ptsd Preparing For Decision
Hey all! My claim just went from gathering evidence to preparing for decision. With this new FDC process I hear processing times have been a lot faster. What is the average time at this stage of the claim process? I'm super nervous. Also, I would like to know your luck with any of the disabilities that I submitted. Thanks. Contentions: mental condition (claimed as chronic adjustment disorder, insomnia, PTSD, anxiety, and memory loss) (New), asthma (New), allergic rhinitis (New), dyspnea (New), obstructive sleep apnea (New), pseudofolliculitis barbae (New), low back condition (claimed as lumbago, chronic lower back pain) (New), patellofemoral syndrome (New), chro…

P&t Claim
How would one go about filing a claim for P&T since this is not an actual disease or has a diagnostic code. I am guessing I can just use the regulations and show how per the regulations that I am P&T? I've been having a hard time focusing on just about everything lately but if it takes me a month to write this claim up then so be it.

ptsd Compensation & Pension Exams
Hello fellow Veterans, I am pretty new to Hadit or any forum helping vets. Recently, I received and read my C & P report. Two weeks before exam, the VA notified me my FDC is now a regular claim. I know my wait may be lo-o-oog. Btw, I am a Vietnam vet who waited over 40 years to seek VA help I am unclear as to how the VA"s Raters might determine a rating. Also, I do not know if the VA Rating will use one or two disabilities. Question: Based on the data below, any educated guesstimates based on forum observations or experience with other vets ? I have both PTSD Combat and MST and do not know if rated separately or are combined with the VA P…

Amputation Factor
Ok I have been searching and I still have questions. I am already rated for my left knee 10% chrondromalacia 10% extension and 10% instability. My left ankle is 10% sprain residuals. For my right knee I have 10% chrondromalacia and 10% extension. My right ankle is rated at 20% sprain residuals. My question is that I have requested an increase for chrondromalacia and extension of both knees. I am hoping for an increase to 20% for each. Do they add the ankles and knees to calculate the amputation factor and is it possible for me to get the increases that I am looking for. Thank you for your help Diver

Two 30's And Three 10's Equals 64 Right?
I recently receive a rating increase that says I am rated at 70% My ratings are as follows 30% Plantar fasciitis 30% IBS 10% Tinnitis 10% Lumbar strain 10% Ankle strain According to the tables and the VA calculator on Hadit.com this equals 64.279, which would round down to 60%. Am I missing something? Did VA make a mistake and will they come after the money eventually if they did? Thanks

Do Civ Dotors Belive Va Medical Records?
Do Civilan doctors belief VA medical records. I get the feeling that nobody outside the VA don't belief anything from the VA. My doctor said he didn't want to see my records, which I am 100%PT since 2003 and wanted him to understand all my medical problems.

Percentage Calculations/amputation Rule..so Confused
Background: I sustained an injury while in service to my foot which required a couple of surgeries within a couple of months of each other and now I am still requiring treatment and since have had other parts of my body affected due to this injury. I am hoping someone can help shed some light on how my rating is calculated and when does the "loss of use" rating along with how the amputation rule factor into a rating. I have contacted the VA and they confused me even more than I already was and the award letter did not even address the "loss of use" rating thoroughly. Thank you so much for your support and time!!! My Total Rating is 70% Contentions are bel…

I deployed to the Gulf War for 9 months. It has been a yr since I submitted my claim. I am just now at prep for a decision phase. I really want to know if I stand a chance with getting an approval. Or should I prepare for an appeal? Army Strong!

New Claim/ Schizophrenia
Hello, I was wondering what my chances are for my claim. I feel guilty even applying but a VA nurse sent me to some office and I applied thinking it was for help with my SSDI case. At little background. I joined the US Army right out of high school and completed basic training and AIT without issue. I spent the rest of my enlistment without issue up until I had a mental break after my 3 year mark. In October of 2001 I broke down and attempted suicide. I felt everyone was out to get me, depressed, and overwhelmed. I sliced one of my wrist and took all the medicine I had (which wasnt much). I ended up slicing through one of the tendons though I still have ful…

Questions On Things Being Sc
So I'm getting out of the air force after 9 years in, and I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea (with cpap), ulcerative colitis and pes planks. Most of these things I've seen a specialist already for and received treatments. And I've attained copy's of all visits for VA storm I've been hearing about. I plan on filing all these claims upon the 180 day mark. How difficult will it be to get compensated for all of these? Thanks!
