I went to medical probably 5 times complaing about it over a 3 year span. I appreciate all the help.

I Feel Like A Real Dummy
You all will get a laugh out of this one. I have a claim for my knees here is what the VA says : My remanded claim was again denied as I do not have any diagnosis of any DJD or any other injuries noted in my SMR. I may be wrong but I had to go back into my medical records from service ( I got hurt all the time) and I was looking over a document they cited but I looked and a navy corpsman his name and rank and the base stamp is on the records. The SMR sick call records shows In his notes I had crepitus in my knees. The VA just sent their SOC denying my claim on a remanded claim that I did not have any Degenerative Disease while in service. Am I right to think Cre…

ptsd Drop In Rating On Ebenefits?
Hello, I was at 80% for the last year, went in again to get another eval because my shrink told me I now am clearly PTSD and to contact the county. I did in March this year. Today the Ebenefits status changed, to pending decision approval - I looked at my VA letter, which is weird because it shows the amount I am getting at 80%, the letter on the top dated June 3rd, but the effective date showing December 12 ( the time I was originally diagn. 80% ) and now it show 60 percent? I have gotten worse, and I am not understanding, even the eval guy said I was worse and should be from 80 to 100%, yet ebenefits show a drop to 60%? Is this a mistake? Can I ap…

Retro Payment?
Hi, All I just awarded 70% in MAY 13 that was backdated to July 1, 2011, but I was on Pension since Nov 2011. I called peggy today becuase i couldn't understand the amount deposited in my bank and they said that since I was on pension that the retro is being offset by my pension payments. Can this happen? eg: 70 % for single is 1336 and pension for single is 1038 the difference for it would be 298.

Can A Veteran Get 100% Temp For Surgery From A Private Surgeon For A Service Connect Disability
I am a veteran with over pronated flat feet. The VA has been slow about treatment but have given me a total of 8 custom inserts, pain medication, cortisone shots, and shoes. I went to a private podiatrist on my own because I wanted a second opinion on my ankle, knee pain secondary to feet pain. Can I get 100% temp if I get surgery for feet from private doctor outside of VA. He suggested I get screws in feet in order to stabilize foot but informed me it was 50-60% effective and no guarantees. Anyone have input, thanks.

The Trick Of Clearing The Back-Log
Well it seems they know how to clear the back-log. No surprise, but by just claiming errors in the claim process. In my case that would be, after checking E-Bennies, that they have basically closed all because I did not submit my prescribed medication in time (2 years I think). I did not submit this information, because ALL my prescribed meds are via the VA. That information should be readly available to them when they recieved the paperwork from the VA (which I know they did recieve it). I do not know if I can "fix" this, but I plan on going up to the RO in Indy (good thing I am only 30 minutes from it) this coming week. I thought maybe I would at least get…

Malaria
Does anyone know what the disability code is for having Malaria is? I'm trying to submit a claim for Malaria thanks to the jungle warfare training I had, too funny. But anyway I need to know what I need to look up and what they look for like the disability exams. Even through it is in my medical records as having it and been exposed to Malaria The VA tells me that I have to have an attack of Malaria before they can determined what percentage I get and what type of Malaria I have. Right now I'm not being treated for it but because my last attack was back in 1994. Thanks for any information

hypertension Reopen Claim With New Evidence
I'm new to the site and just read ur posting and you got me thinking. I just submitted to reopen a claim for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (secondary to hypertension 0%)Asthma(increase from 30%)Obstructive Sleep Apnea (secondary to headaches, chest pains, and depression) and a new claim for prostate cancer. I collected letters from 3 guys I was stationed with stating they heard me snoring, had to wake me and gaging very bad when I slept, I think the statements were pretty strong statements concerning symptoms of sleep apnea, a letter from my wife of 12 years and a old girlfriend while stationed in KY who I dated while in the military and after service.I Also had sleep study done…

ptsd Leaving The Area
I'm currently allocated to the ATL RO for my claim. I have since been awarded a transfer to Dallas, Tx I have until mid June to transfer my job. Is it feasible to move my claim to the new RO location? It's been in since 8/9 2011 no movement, no C&P, still gathering dust. Any help with how claims are moved or the timeline on Dallas area claims would be greatly appreciated. Also I have 7> claims and this in my initial claim. Bi-lateral: wrists, knees, ankles: low back, arthritis all in STRs; PTSD, neuropathy, tinnitus, hips all in VA treatment records since discharge. With the exception of one surgery I've never been treated or diagnosed with anything that was not di…

tdiu Historical Rates Of Va Compensation
In 1974 a single vet with 100% SC received $584 a month. A vet with 10% got 32 bucks a month and one with 90% got $325 a month. All the increases since then and before then are due to the COLA. When people who are uniformed start saying a new Chained CPI won't hurt us vets they are crazy. The current COLA underestimates the true cost of living. I got 10% in 1971 and it was $28 bucks a month. My father got 10% in 1946 and it was $8 a month I think. We really need a raise to the basic rate and a better COLA. I am able to get by pretty well because I get a decent amount of SSD and TDIU+HB. A 22 year old soldier who has only worked for a few years will just get the little …
