HLR closed but confused with their response
Anyone have an idea what the following means? notification letter starts off like this: VA completed your request for Higher-Level Review received on May 4, 2020 and identified an error in assisting you in gathering evidence to support your claim in each of your claimed conditions. Service connected disability - Multiple Myeloma (incurable csncer)
My husband was a crew chief on F-16 fighter jets. He was stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Japan. In 2000 he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and in 2001 he had a bone marrow transplant. He was forced to retire from his career because they said he was unfit to serve world wide because his cancer is incurable and he would need to be monitored regularly. We started the journey to apply for benefits in 2000 and have been denied multiple times. We finally hired an attorney who is very experienced with this type of matter. We are at the stage where we will appeal to a higher stage. If that doesn't work, we'll go to the hearing stage. I cannot believe they deny AO…

Ch. 35 with 70% TDUI P&T?
Hello all, I was recently granted P&T status for my 70% PTSD SC disability. Based on my research, it appears that regardless if you’re 100% scheduler or 100% TDIU, the benefits are the same. My question revolves around Ch. 35 benefits for my children when they reach the age of 18. Mainly talking about college here. None of the kids are of that age yet, but will be in a few years. Would I qualify for Ch. 35 benefits for kids and spouse at 70% P&T? I’ve been 100% IU since 2010, but was only recently granted P&T status a few days ago. Just not entirely sure how everything works, or if my dependents/spouse are even eligible to receive the…

Retired military ID card at 100%?
Didn't know where to post this question, so please forgive me if it's in the wrong place. Anyways, I was looking through my letters via va.gov and noticed the instructions for the commissary. When I received IU PT at 90% I obtained a dd2765 ID card to access the px and commissary. So my question is are we entitled to a retired military ID card if we reach 100% scheduler? The instructions below confused me a little. Thanks in advance for any info.

POA for VSO
One thing that I am curious about is the Power of Attorney (POA) that a veteran signs off on to a VSO, such as the VFW or DAV. I understand the function of the VSO, but what is the VSO's incentive? I expect someone, perhaps Brokensoldier for one, would have first hand knowledge. I'm thinking it is directly or indirectly connected to a financial incentive. Maybe, the VA pays "X" to the VSO organization for ever veteran they represent say on a monthly basis. If it isn't financial, what is it?

I have an IBS question
Hello, My question is, How do I go about getting my IBS service connected? I just went through my SMR and found that in 2009 I was experiencing "Fever, chills, and the inability to hold down food" after Eating. My wife prepared food and I ate, felt sick and vomited for hours. Mind you, none of my family got sick. Then when I was on Deployment to the Gulf (USS Bonhomme Richard LH-6) I had Acute Gastroenteritis (thats whats labeled on the paper) after departing from Thailand a month prior, we ended up in the Gulf Of Aden. Then in 2015 when I had already got out, I had a stomach issue which resulted in me being constipated and bloated for 2 months which is documented in…
