Diagnostic Code
What do I do about the wrong dianostic code? I claim back and head injury. From a fall and mva in the military. Got diagnosis with cervial and back strain, lower back strain. And muscle strain and spasm from the miltary. Was told that although there is a record of treatment in service for a head and back injury no permanent residual or chronic disability subject to service connection is shown by service medical records or demonstrated by evidence following service. I receive the diagnotics codes. 5299-5237. For residual of back injury 8199-8100 for residual of head injury ( i am already service connected for migraines) I file for Asthma and receive the code 65…

Am I Entitled To Back Pay?
Hi everyone!! I am rated 10% disabled for my back. When I left the military in 1999 I received seperation pay. VA recouped the seperation bonus in 2009 and issued a check for $250 (2 months disability payment). It was mailed to an old address in May 2009 and returned. I submitted a claim last year to reinstate my disability payments. Does anyone know if I will receive payment from 2009 when the bonus was recouped or will it start from when I filed my new claim which is 7/9/2012. Thanks

The Weird Thing Happened Last Night....
Let me start off by giving just a little back information...I have Cervical DDD, Thoracic DDD and Lumbar DDD with radiculopathy from all three areas. The Radiculopathy are in both arms, legs, toes, feet and in all of places in the chest wall muscles (pectoral muscles)... This past Monday I had a Cervical ESI procedure. The doctor decided to do it at C7-T1. I advised him of a past ESI I had back in 2011 that only last 10 days. This doctor didn't want to do this one because he said if the last one only last 10 days then the one on monday will not help. I pled with him to at least lets give it a try because I am sick of the pain everywhere. So he agreed. He told me t…

Non Service Pension & Dependents Issue.....
I am currently receiving the NSC pension I didn't even know anything about it until early 2011 it took me only six month to get the whole process done. I got a letter in the mail today saying that I could not add my dependents because I didn't have a rating of 30% or higher. It took the Va since last year Oct (when i filed for them) to tell me this and send a letter. Can some one shine some light on this. I didn't know I need to have a service connected rating of 30%. Currently my service connected rating is at 0% and I do have appeals in the system so i can get a higher SC rating. When I received the award letter for the pension it said that I needed to submit my depe…

Dependency And Indemnity Compensation
Hello everyone. I have a question and I am not sure if this is the correct area to ask. History: My grandfather was in charge of the traing barnch for Sandia Base, NM. He was a navy captain at the time. He was witness to various detonations. My mother has been trying to establish his presence at the sites through various records, but his job was so secretive that most documents do not exist. I have found several that show his name and unit (Armed Forces Special Weapons Project), but little else. She is again sending for the dose meter records and hopefully this will help. My grandfather was stationed there for 4 years. In 1963 he devolped Thyroid c…

Sleep Apnea Due To Service?
This is the situation, I had my physical through meps station in Charlotte when I was going into Navy and in the physical, it stated I complained of being tired. Question is could I try and tie this in with sleep apnea? This is a symptom of sleep apnea. I also have asthma so could I connect this with sleep apnea instead. Any help appreciated.

Since then I have move to Chicago and now my claim was just completed. I'm wanting to appeal but I'm not sure if I can use the Chicago office or if I have to use the same office that I originally filed with.

Claim Help - Please
So I've had a claim processing since Jan 2012 and it moved into Preparing for Notification today. My question is that when I check the status of the claim it stated that they did not receive continuation evidence for any of my disabilities. Do this mean that I'm most likely to be denied? Also, when I called and talked to ePeggy when I first noticed that they were requesting evidence (about 10 months ago) I was told that the C&P along with my in service medical records would suffice. Now I'm regretting listening to her. Can someone please help me understand this a little more and maybe tell me that I'm overconcerned. I really would hate to start this proce…
