Scar Question
Hello, My head was broke open pretty good in an aircraft maintenance accident. I think I got 10 staples at the ER in Camp Lejeune. I had not thought about this in 20 years until my wife shaved my head because I was sick of my long hair due to COVID barber closures. I read somewhere that there is compensation for scars. I was not sure if this would even be worth pursing. Do they have any rules around where the scar is? I have included a picture of the top of my head and the drawing from the doc at the ER from my medical record. I am currently 70% rated mostly for back and secondaries to that. Not sure if this would be enough to move the needle even if app…

Gary C
Hello, my name is Gary. I was medically discharged from the Active Army 12 1/2 yrs ago with a 20% rating and $3068.00 in severence pay. Four yrs the PDRB contacted me and advised me I was identified as a Soldier who may have received the wrong percentage. At this point I was already receiving 100%I/U VA compensation. This was 4 yrs ago I authorized PDRB to review my case. Just recently I received a letter frim PDRB stating they gave me the wrong percentage and I am now considered RET retroactively to July 2007. I received 3 retirement pay statements from DFAS , the first two showed how much I would get, the third letter said I would be getting $0.00 because of the VA waiv…

NAVY and Sleep Apnea (Trump)
I am trying to find out... What Trump did to change how the NAVY is eligible for sleep apnea disability. I heard and saw an article awhile back (But can't find it) how how if someone served in the United States NAVY and lived or was stationed on a ship for 2 or more yrs that if they tested positive to have sleep apnea that it was pretty much a sure thing that they would qualify for the disability of Sleep apnea. Does anyone have a lead on this type of information.. It would be wonderful.

Various Conditions Lumped Under One
Hello all, I just received my claim back and it was a little confusing for someone like me. They put together MS, MDD, and TBI all under one disability with 30%, 70%, 10% respectively, but then overall rating for that disability was 70 given it was the highest. Is this because of the so-called pyramiding? I mean it just doesn't seem to make sense, but who knows. Thanks.

QUESTION? CAN A VETERAN SEND IN A REQUEST TO HAVE HIS TDIU P&T BE MOOT IF HE HAS CLAIMED THE LATTER AND HAVE ENOUGH COMBINED RATED CONDITIONS THAT MEET THE 100% RATE? .....>BUT HAS BEEN INFERRED THE IU AT AN EARLIER DATE CAN HE REQUEST =HIS IU BE MOOT? SDVI Denied
Hello all, Long story short I was rated TDIU P&T 01/31/2018. I recently filed for an increase and was raised to 100% P&T scheduler on 12/20/2019. I was under the impression that I could now file for S-DVI. I received a letter of denial because I sent my application in on 02/04/2020 which puts me at 4 days over my limit! Is there any way to fight this? S-DVI. Below is my denial and the reasoning. I guess this is all on me for misunderstanding my eligibility.

Rating increase for diabetic retinopathy
I was medically retired from the Navy with Insulin Dependent Diabetes 22 years ago. Things had been going great until about two years ago when all of the secondary, associated conditions started to kick in - retinopathy in both eyes, neuropathy in both hands and both feet. carpal tunnel... the list goes on. I was rated at 10% for retinopathy last February based on the visual fields test. The condition has gotten worse - I had a bleed in my left eye the week before Thanksgiving, and I am still suffering residual effects. Other than a period of about a week when I was unable to see out of that eye, my vision is about the same as before with some really large…

Chapter 35 eligibility question
I was just recently rated 100% P&T and was told I am eligible for chapter 35 DEA benefits. I do not currently have any dependents. I was told that DEA benefits have a shelf life of 10 years to be used. So in my situation my possible future children could not use this benefit?

EED what’s that even mean
I don’t understand how in the world they get these dates correct ever on the first shot. Point being made I was made after 4 claims for an increase rated for my headaches at 50% having been 0% for 8 years never having a exam for my headaches to be evaluated in my 3 prior claims just grouped in with my sTBI residuals rated at 100% P and T. But then last year they gave me an exam by itself for my headaches I think because my TBI was finally made P and T in 2016 not dated back to my claim in 2010 when I was only made 90% total with all my other conditions. But had my headaches been rated 50% prior I would have been 100% way prior in 2010. Call me crazy and I know I am what …
