Va Hearing Aids
Just wondering how long it usually takes the VA to get your hearing aids in after they took molds of your ear. This is for behind the ear half dome. And can you call the audi at the VA and see if they are in? The reason I ask is because I got my molds done yesterday but my fitting is not till may 11th because they are so back logged. so i was hoping i could call and see if they were ready then try to get in sooner on a cancellation.

ptsd Sleep Apnea Claim
I was thinking if I should give it a shot to put a claim in for sleep apnea... I know for a fact no sleepng disorder is in my SMR, but I heard PTSD and meds is also a cause for sleep apnea. My wife wakes me up just about everynight because I breath so shallow and snor and disturbing her sleep and mines as well. I have never snor or had problems in breathing while in the service. I filed 3 claims and my last exam will be end of this month (PTSD) now should I wait till I get my rating for my claims or should I go ahead and still claim for sleep apne

Rating
I wanted to give everyone an update on my claim. I received a call today from VA and to my surprise on the other end of the phone was a rep from Salt Lake City stating that my claim was complete and the rating was 100%. After speaking with him for a while I came to realize that none of this was possible without the my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Once I thanked him (Jesus) I immediatly thought of the Moderators of this site and forum. Moderators, I am sorry for any harsh words that I may have said in the past, you seem to have kept a clear and level head and for that, I Thank YOU. For those out their that is having a panic attack or just plane mad at the VA for being lat…

ptsd Help With Rating
Hello everyone. I just had a few questions about what my rating should be. I went through the C&P for disability and it lasted about 2 and half hours, she would ask me questions and I would answer them. I read these forums and see there is a "GAF" percentile but I never received one, it that a flag I should worry about? Ok, now to the issues I am having and what I told to the Doc. I keep hearing conversations in my head over and over and over, it ranges from the things that happen to me in Iraq or just someone out to get me. I also relive some of the moments that happened in Iraq and also see this person that is not really there. I was exposed to many IEDs and small a…

120 Days
Good Morning all, 28 Feb 2011 will be exactly 121days from when I retired from the Army and 120 days from when my claim was first processed. Also 28 Feb will serve as the 58 day mark my claim has been at the rating board, persons desk, collecting dust or sitting in the shredder basket waiting to be shredded. I make these comments to add humor to mine and others claims to keep some type of humor in my life. What is not funny is the fact that this time 2, 3, 4 or 5 years ago VA had the same problem of hurry up and submit your claim now lets wait and see. As a veteran what can I do to help others who will be retireing soon to avoid this process (waiting). I recently tu…

ptsd Iu Questions Regarding Agoraphobia/gad
I will try to make sense, but I'm really confused. I got out of service in 2005 and filed a claim for PTSD. I was in a bad place at that time. Very paranoid, suspicious, untrusting, hypervigiliant, the whole 9 yards. My active duty military records supported the PTSD claim. When they set me up for a C&P, I was very anxious and skipped the appointment. Not good, I know. I kept falling into a deeper whole and finally hit rock bottom. I went back and reopened the claim in 2010. Instead of PTSD, my VSO advised me to file as panic disorder and anxiety. I had new and material evidence, because I had been seen by 3 private doctors for the above mentioned issues. They all con…

Hearing Aid Eligiable Question
Hi, new here so I am not sure if I am posting this in the right section of the forum. If not I am sorry. I have a SC for 10% Tinnitus and 0% hearing loss. I had an audiogram done at my C&P. Also I have a perminate profile through the military for hearing loss. After looking at who is eligiable for hearing aids I called and set up an appointment. The appointment shows as a HAE or hearing aid eval. My question is what goes on at this type of appointment, and also if I was scheduled for this what are my chances I will finally get hearing aids after waiting 1.5 years?
