This is where to post those questions. it's OK, if you are feeling confused this is not at all unusual it can be a very confusing system. ptsd Question About "temporary" 100%
Hi all, hope this Tuesday finds you well! I have a question about the temporary disability please...I have two conditions, my first is Hallux Limitus for both my feet. I already had surgery on one with a private doctor back in 96, but never had surgery on the other. My VA doctor has already said that they would do surgery on the other, and mentioned that I would get 100 temporary while I am recovering. The other is my PTSD, (which I am still waiting on a rating for) and the C&P examiner already stated to me that she has no doubt I suffer from PTSD and depression because of the PTSD. She also recommended that I attend a six week inpatient treatment in Topeka f…

How Does It Work?
I hope this is the correct place to ask this. If not, I do apologize. I have MS and urinary frequency. I have the urge to go about every 30-45 minutes. I know that MS is rated at 30% minimum and that urinary frequency less than an hour is 40%. I have been on some medicine that has helped and the urge to go is about an hour and half now, which is rated at 20%. Does the VA rate me on my normal baseline without medication at 40%, or 20% on continuous medication? It doesn't really matter that much, but I would like to know how this works? Thanks for the help.

Difference Between...
I am trying to figure out some things. I filed back in early 2011 for right leg pain/radiculopathy. Then I filed for left leg pain/radiculopathy in 2012. Of course the VA denied both of them even after an IMO but I now have an EMG to prove everything. Anyway should I file for Sciatica or will the VA rate the above under this category? Or is Sciatica a different rating and is not pyramiding aside from radiculopathy? Just curious how do I go about this or if I need to file a new claim for Sciatica or not. Thanks in advance. Good thing everything the VA RO denied me on the Tampa VAMC has diagnosed me with so this all just make Dr. Bash's IMO having more weight.…

ptsd How Many "disabled Vets" Are Full Of It?
I've been roaming the forums and I've definitely noticed some legit claims, but I've also noticed a bunch of bogus ones. Most of my personal friends fall into the bogus category... Meaning they weren't grunts, some weren't even active duty, they didn't deploy, and most of their disabilities should only pertain to combat vets. How exactly do pogs qualify for PTSD? It's pretty infuriating... I humped every other week 20-25 miles with 80-100 lbs of gear and I only weighed 115 lbs at the time. Obviously it took a toll on my knees and back. That's not counting the many other physically demanding aspects of being a Marine infantryman. It's hard to not think of the majority of…

What Exactly Do Service Officer Do For Vets?
I am trying to find out what exactly the system is, that the service officers do/ Ok for instance. My claim is at the waco va, on re open. The service officer is in the same building with the va. Somewhere in the va, lies my claim. I know my service officer has access to my c-file, because he has my power of retardee. So now what. I was told there are 15 service officers in waco for my service org. I would imagine they are assigned cases, based on whatever, such as complicated, or simple based on thier experience. Im just trying to picture what is actually going on,. Im envisioning a service rep sitting at a desk in his office., And im envisioning the va personell …

Back Pay Question
I am 80% rated now and I have a notice of disagreement going right now for PFB (razor bumps) because it was denied because the PFB (razor bumps) was not shown to have originated while in service (meaning PFB now is confirmed only lacking evedince I had PFB in service). This was a over site because I have all the no shave chits and other military medical records showing I had PFB (razor bumps) in service. Presuming the VA overturns its decision will I get back pay for a 10% PFB rating for the time the claim was going even though it won’t raise my now 80% rating to 90%.

Dependent Backlog
I am very fortunate that I was awarded 70% SC for Bi-Polar just three months after applying in 2010. I was also very fortunate to have that bumped to 100% just one year later and my wife and most children added without a hitch. It took six months to have two children added as some how their birth certificates were put in the wrong data base and everytime a representative looked at my claim it appeared as if everything was correct when in reality two children were missing. It took a trip to Louisville and someone manually walking a file to a supervisor to have correction made and then all things were great.. Until one of those two children turned 18 in August of 20…

Domestic Violence And Compensation
I was recently found guilty of domestic violence. There was no jail time. Just two years probation. I am a police officer so my job has already asked me to resign. I refused so they are processing paperwork to fire me. I am currently 40% disabled through the VA and also currently using the post 911 gi bill. Will my domestic violence conviction in any way hinder my compensation or gi bill? Thank you

Dea And Dependents Pay
While printing a letter from Ebenefits today I noticed that the monthly 100% amount has been reduced by $225 - the amount I receive for a child over 18 in school full time. My daughter does receive DEA for college. I called the 800# and was told that the additional dependent amount was reduced by the $225 because I can't receive dependent pay for my daughter if she is receiving DEA. Is this true? The benefit amount was just reduced for January, however, my daughter has been receiving DEA since August. I just want to make sure what the 800# told me was accurate
