Once you know you are eligible for Veterans Disability Compensation, the question then becomes are you entitled to it by law. This is where to post those questions. it's OK, if you are feeling confused this is not at all unusual it can be a very confusing system. If you were injured in service and have a question about whether you are entitled to file a claim, post it here. Law 38C.F.R.3.4 (a)

Need Advice ....
Coming up for a Reduction Hearing. Bring with me to the hearing is a lot of evidence to include new ROM measurements taken on July 2. I talked with my contact at the State of Florida Veterans Services at the RO. He stated that it's normal for me to bring the new ROM measurements for him to view them. He will then take them over to the Hearing Office (Coach) to see if they will make a determination before the hearing. I was told to NOT allow them to do this because this is another way to screw the vet. Need your advice on how to handle this. Thanks in advance.

L5-S1 Lumbar....
I need some advice since I haven't been getting much help from Neuropain after telling them my Lower lumbar needs urgent attention and that they only want to work on one part of the spine at a time. I am getting a lot of pain in the ridge of my lumbar, enough to put tears in my eyes. I now have more radiculopathy, more pain in my calves and front of the thighs. I don't take any opiates because the VA will not give me any. I guess this is the new policy. I do take Tramadol 300mg per day and Gabapentin 3200mg per day. Is there any thing that will help this pain. I have tried ice but it comes right back. I can't lay on my back because it gets worse. The only …

Depression And Anxiety
I wanted someone to help me with a claim that I have started. I was diagnosed with moderate to severe depression with anxiety and memory loss. I believe that it is due to chronic pain I suffer for a knee injury (meniscus tear and osteoarthitis) both as a result of military injury. I dont sleep much at night. I have developed sleep apnea. I cant exercise because of my knee. I can barely do my job or be interactive with my family on a daily basis. The VA has put me on Zoloft. They told me if that doesnt help with the depression so I can sleep then they would give me something stronger. My concern is that the VA doctors and psych worker are not making the connection that a…

Ddd And Osteoarthritis
I've researching the difference between Spinal DDD and Spinal Osteoarthritis. I never knew that when it come to the spine that DDD and Osteoarthritis was the same thing. So, anything you read on MRIs that deals with the spine if you see stuff like: Degenerative Changes, Degenerative Disc Disease, DJD and Osteophytes, they are basically the same thing.

Pain Management In-House...
The Tampa VA has a in-house pain management program they want to go to and I decided to go in January 2014. As anybody here attended this program before and if so what should I expect. The surgeon told me today that because I have Osteoarthritis he doesn't feel that surgery will help and he thinks this program will help me deal with the pain. Basically what he is saying is that unless I totally screw up my spine after today that I will have to live with this pain for the rest of my life.... Just wondering about it...

Proposed To Reduce Ratings Discussion....
I am just wondering about something. How many people here are currently going through this? Somebody told me in a PM that he was at the DAV and there were 8 vets that came in complaining of being proposed to reduce. Is this something the VA does every so often? Or is this something that is coming from the top? I wonder, are vets now being targeted like what happened with the IRS issue? Kind of makes you think... Also, why would the RO need samples of my blood from my biyearly blood tests I get and then send the blood samples to me stating they have no way to store that type of evidence? I didn't send them no samples. This doesn't make any sense IMO because …

ptsd Disability Nightmare
I served in Iraq from 06' to 07' While I was there I was hit by an IED, I was knocked unconscious and life flighted. I sustained a large wound to my theigh which resulted in muscle damage and limited movement. The middle of my back goes in and out of numbness, I cannot stand for very long and my leg even gives out on me at times. I never returned to full duty. I filed in 08' for my leg, and a year ago for ptsd. I have had documented panic attacks while in the hospital, and my leg still has a large hematoma that even looks painful to the naked eye. After I was honorably discharged, I was even called back to Iraq (another nightmare) a year by IRR after my injury and dis…
