Once you know you are eligible for Veterans Disability Compensation, the question then becomes are you entitled to it by law. This is where to post those questions. it's OK, if you are feeling confused this is not at all unusual it can be a very confusing system. If you were injured in service and have a question about whether you are entitled to file a claim, post it here. Law 38C.F.R.3.4 (a)

ptsd Secondary Condition Question...
Hello All, I'll try my best to keep this short and to the point. I have a claim in for an increased rating for PTSD based on UI. I think I have all my "ducks in line" and have a great letter from my VA Doc to support this. I have MANY references and a diagnosis in my VA medical records for depression secondary to the PTSD. I have been on VA prescribed meds for the depression for a number of years also. Problem is...I never ASKED for a rating based on the depression. I have a C&P exam on Tuesday and I don't want to do anything that will slow down the entire claim process at this point. I know it is a battle just to get a "favorable" C&P exam that acurately reflect…

I don'y want VA to reduce my claims...

Us Navy Service Records
I received my US NAVY service records from Saint Louis today. There is a medical record of my vericose veins. All parts of my performance was 3.2, 3.4, and 3.6 from january 4,1966 to september 9,1966. I was discharged under code 460 emotional instability reaction. However the psychiatrists letter and evaluation in NEWPORT, RI from july 1966 was not included. One paragraph states under 32 CFR 310.30 [F] a portion of the records contain information which may be interpreted and explained properly by a physician. You may authorize release of your records to your designated physician by responding to this letter with your request. I guess I will have …

I am 100% Sc and I was awarded 50 Depression and 40% Prostatis along with many more ailments. Since I retired from the Army in Oct 2010 I have been put on Zoloft to control my Depression and I wear an Adult Diaper for my Prostate. What is the best route to take when filing for P and T for these two claims? Also how long does the process take to file for P and T and will I need to go through another C and P exam? I went to my first VA appt back in June and my doctor stated that she will see me back in one year. Thanks for the info... v…

Pyramiding
I am sc for gallbladder removal 10 % and small intestines 20%. I asked for The next higher evaluation under 4.114. Who makes the decision for that. Is it the raters own discretion or will I get another exam to assess the overall picture, or will they use the prior two Exams (gallbladder and intestines) since they were dine within a year. Past two exams have not correctly documented daily life activities. I have had to refer the Rater back to previous statements from me and buddy Statements on daily life activities. Any assistant would be greatly appreciated
