C&P for Adjustment Disorder with Depressed Mood
I served in the Navy from Jan 2007 - Jan 2011. I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder with depressed mood in my first year. I was having issues adjusting to the military life. It is documented in my STR as "Personality Disorder: Adjustment Disorder with Depressed Mood". From there on, there were other things that happened during my service (not combat related) that just made it harder and harder to perform my duties and live a normal life. I did not pursue treatment or counseling during my time in service, because I was afraid of being kicked out, and didn't want the label of having a "personality disorder" for the rest of my life. I was raised to be very "private", I g…

Are C&P exams being delayed because of the pandemic?
I was due for the 5 year check up C&P exam late last year and never got anything in the mail for it. They don't forget do they? Are the C&P exams backlogged due to the pandemic? It's not hurting my benefits but I'm wondering when they're going to call me back in.

a dental C&P exam not related to the disability claim
My husband filed his disability claim last OCT 2020 for high grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma. No other updates until June 2021 when he was scheduled for a c&p exam for dental. We are confuse if this is a normal procedure to get one which is completely not related to his illness. Is anyone experience this? is this a good or bad news on his claim? Thank you!

LHI Examiner Had Me Give Him My Healthevet Username and Password
Just what the title says. Made me uneasy, but I felt like I couldn't say no. I changed the password once I got home, but given my history of examiners sometimes feeling like they can make stuff up or say whatever, I really don't feel comfortable that this guy now has access to everything in the VA online as if he was me, including communications, appeals, etc. I'm pretty sure all of it is linked and he can pretty much screw with anything he'd like. What can or should I do?

Backlog in C&P Exams?
Right then, last year I had two C&P exams. Due to living in Germany, the VA hands it off to the VES who schedules everything. The VES contacted me last year in August with a wee questionnaire and also asked if I was available during the next 60 days. Both appointments were done within that time. This year seems a different animal. The VES contacted me at the beginning of March with the same questionnaire and the 60 day question. I had a mental health appointment within 3 weeks! There are still two matters pending. I sent the VES an email at the end of May (near on 3 months) and the response was merely waiting for an appointment. This is for hearing loss a…

DX CODES needed .loss of use left arm
I have a c&p on Tuesday, for “neuropathy hand”, and “peripheral nerves”. I have attached a letter from one of my Dr for service connection and description of diag.. My PCP is asking me for exact codes (dx)that he can input to help with diagnosis to put in my file. I am trying to get loss of use for left hand, I am already SC for loss of use for my right. Higher Level Review for Sleep Apnea and Hypertension
Current service connections Tinnitus - 10% Retained Renal Calculus (Kidney Stones) - 30% Adjustment Disorder (with anxiety and depression) - 50% I had filed for both Sleep Apnea and Hyptertension before, but got denied. Sleep Apnea they said that I got it from being obese. I tried arguing that I went from being fit to being obese the year I seperated from the military. While honorable, I had a lot of bad stuff happen due to the military to me. All stuff out of my control, just bad luck. Affected mental health and gained like 100 pounds in first year out. Down 40 now, a lot to go. Anyway, the C&P doctor said that she did not see any link from…

TBI Claim Now Needs PTSD C&P Exam
Wondering if anyone has some insight on my current situation. Long story short, I became 70% service connected in 2018 due to a combination of issues, to include 30% for PTSD. During my initial physicals with my VA primary care Dr I screened positive for TBI from a vehicle rollover in Afghanistan and began testing/treatment. I eventually had a neuropsychological exam that Identified several severe cognitive impairments (auditory memory, processing speed) and several more moderate-mild impairments. Based on this I filed a disability claim for TBI in November of 2019. I just finally had a C&P exam for TBI that did not last long. Based on browsing these forums, I a…

Painful motion rule
I'm looking at a copy of my last c&p exams for arthritis. I was denied for no diagnosis, which is an issue I am appealing because I have more than one. However, the examiner checked the block "Pain noted on exam but does not result in / cause functional loss" for many of my joints with varying Ranges of motions( such as flexion or exetension). Would this qualify as the objective evidence of pain for the painful motion rule?

PLEASE ADVISE AS TO HOW RESTRICTED CLAIMS FILES ARE
My C&P report was so F'd up that the doc has disciplinary exposure with the State medical Board and even a civil action. I am offering her a chance to avoid any complaints. I want to honestly tell her how hard it is for anyone not working on my claim to access the claim file. Please advise. I would like to be able to tell her that there is a snowball's chance in hell that anyone (particularly her supervisors) on the West Coast will find out she has owned up to and corrected her errors. Is this true? Citations to controlling regs would be great. Thank you.
