What exaclty is the RO looking for when assessing your DBQ?
I am confused, as I have heard different opinions from different vets. Are they looking at the symptoms? What ultimately are they looking for? Are they looking at your occupational and social impairment? What determines the rating the VA gives you?

ptsd PTSD C&P review examination details and questions
So I had a C&P yesterday for PTSD review. I had put in a claim for individual un-employability (IU) and worsened PTSD claim. The exam went poorly I felt. I took a list of my symptoms with me because I sometimes forget everything, and at the initial C&P exam I didn't state all my problems. Anyhow, the Dr. X met me outside the office, didn't introduce and told me to have a seat. Dr. X never asked me my name or any identifiers, very rude in manner. Dr.X kept asking me "anything else you want in this report?" Dr. X obviously was put out or irritated at me because I had a small notebook with my, paperwork, problems listed, etc. and read from them i…

Question about the time line after my C&P
I had my C&P on June 3, 2016 with a projected date of Aug 20-Oct 28 to have a final decision. I checked ebenefits today and the date changed to Oct 28-Dec 20. Is this normal? I have submitted every document and records available to expedite my claim sooner. Im confused! Is there anything else I can do to speed up the process? Perhaps ask the VA to make a decision?

Migraine C&P
Requested an increase from 30% to 50% for migraines. Examiner only marked one headache per month, but stated I miss 5-6 days of work per month, and daily activity is less than 25% of normal. Is this sufficient for the increase? He also stated severe economic adaptabiliy. C&P is below.

MST C & P EXAM RESULTS WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Morning, Just got my result from a MST please tell me what do you all think? Opinion: It is as likely as not (50% likelihood) that the current symptoms of the patients diagnosed PTSD and depressive disorder are the result of an in service MST-related event. Rationale: Markers of symptoms in the patient's medical history (Statement in Support of Claim and MAP-D Development letter) would/could fall in line as MST markers with her claimed stressor and substantiate that stress. Exam utilized DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.

What's your opinion, light at the end of the tunnel or not?
I finally received a hard copy of my recent C&P exam. I had to travel to the actual VAMC in DC to retrieve it even though I submitted a paper request about a month ago. Anyway, here are the results… Please tell me what you think my chances of receiving a favorable rating are. My claim was remanded back to the VARO by the BVA for further development and a C&P exam. Here are the results… ICD code: 309.28 (F43.23) Mental Disorder: Adjustment Disorder with Mixed Anxiety and Depressed Mood Under #3 Occupational and social impairment [X] Occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity is checked For V…

Calling the 1800 number a bad idea?
Greetings, I have a question. I have read on this forum that it is a bad idea to call the VA 1800 number to check the status of your claim. Is there a reason for this logic? Is the information disseminated not accurate? Or will it reflect bad on the veteran for constantly calling? Thanks In advance.

C&P Exam New Diagnosis (Service Connected?)
Hey guys, New guy here- Went to my C&P Exam in April and the doctor asked if I had anything bothering me that I had not claimed already, and I did in which I told him. After I identified that my ankle has been giving me issues he did a ROM test to determine its flexibility. Question: Will I get any kind of disability from this if it is not documented well in my history? How well do my medical records have to reflect my conditions in order to get service connection disability? I am still in active duty for another 30 days so I still have the ability to make a few more appointments. Thanks again for your support and advice, Anthony

ptsd C&P Exam Question Depression or PTSD
I’m going to make a long story short here LOL I filed a claim for PTSD and was denied and the claim has been sitting as an appeal since 2013. Since the VA acknowledged I suffer from depression NOS related to military service, I decided to file a claim for depression and anxiety. I go in for my 3rd C&P for mental health, but for depression and the Examiner is using the DBQ form, but he diagnoses me with PTSD according to the Case Management Rep. I spoke with. He proceeds to tell me that they want the Examiner to complete the PTSD DBQ and I will have to take another C&P exam sometime in the near future. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me with ment…
