Mistakes in initial-make changes in review?
Hi All, Once again, hoping this is posted correctly. Not sure, but can't quite seem to get the hang of this particular version of a forum, so my apologies if I'm doing this wrong. Real quick background, I'm rated for PTSD/major depression/alcohol/TBI at 70%, kidneys 60%, bladder 10%, headaches 0%, and seems like something else I'm forgetting at the moment. Those were all completed about 13 months ago. Pending is a back issue, hypersomnia, hypertension, and heart disease. Total after VA math is 91% (maybe 92?). I was involved in a training in which another soldier died. Due to the hypersomnia claim, the VA has asked that I be reviewed for the PTSD and TBI. I…

LHI? Anyone had any experiences previously?
I was contacted and sent to LHI for ratings increase on PTSD. I was of course on edge just because and then going to a unknown contractor bothered me a bit. But as I read on here they listed the doctors name and credentials which I used to investigate the doctor and liked what I found. I showed up to the appointment and expected the appointment to last at least half as long as they paperwork called for which was about an hour and a half. Appointment time was 0800 hrs and I was back out the door and in my car by 0825. Now to the nitty gritty. It was not bad at all. The doctor had reviewed all of my stressors prior to me coming in and we did not speak of them at all …

SMC-O or R2?
Good Afternoon, Could you please direct me in the following. I have 2 A&As that the VA grouped together under A&A. My wife is a physician that takes care of me for PTSD keeping me safe from hurting myself/others (also states that I am in danger of hurting myself/other in my psych evaluation from VA that awarded me 100% PTSD Rating and for total loss of both feet and spinal issues where my wife injects me daily, provides physical therapy for me and changes and addresses my wound care, not to mention all Acts of Daily Living. So, my question is do I file for a higher level of increase for SMC O because of 2 A&As (Or even on A&A and Loss of use SMC-O, or…

Aid & Attendance
Good Afternoon, I was approved for Aid & Attendance which I am very grateful! My question is that I was informed that the VA placed all of my SC Disabilities under Aid & Attendance. This includes SC 200% PTSD for keeping me safe, SC 200% Loss of Use of Both Feet and SC 100% Complications of Stroke to name a few. Aren’t Loss of Use and PTSD Keeping me safe separate with only one of them needed to establish Aid and Attendance? Wouldn’t it be considered R1? Thank You All!

Audiological C&P examination
On an Audiological C&P exam the VA requires a Maryland CNC test to be completed. This presents a different speech recognition test than just an ordinary hearing loss exam. The speech recognition part of the test is when, over the head phones, the veteran is presented with simple compound words that they are supposed to repeat to the examiner, which in turn measures their recognition of speech. First, does guessing at the words complete the requirement of speech recognition even though the words the veteran iterates are not the same as the compound words spoken to him over the head phones? Second, is it legal, proper, morally right for the technician to type out these …

Denial Letter missing? Where can I get a copy? I have a Premium online VA account but cant find it...
I did not see my most recent decision denial letter in the mail. Anyone know where I can get ALL of my past denial letters and their reasonings for denying me? Also, is there a way to see all of my service connections and their wording on why they were able to service connect me? One reason I also want to know the reasons I am service connected to things is because I was recently approved for Hypertension. They denied me Sleep apnea in the past because of my weight. But I believe in this recent decision, I leveraged the fact that I gained weight due to my mental health service connection. And I was able to use that as a nexus for hypertension. I am now wanting to po…

PTSD/MST no C&P exam
Hello, I'm new here but have read through many posts. I put in several claims for increase & a new one for PTSD due to MST. I've had exams for everything but the PTSD. When I contacted the VA to inquire if I would be scheduled for one. They stated that reviewing chart records & other evidence no exam was needed. Has anyone had a good outcome without a C&P exam for PTSD? I'm currently at 50% for MDD & anxiety. However, recently VA doctors have said it's a misdiagnosis & changed it to PTSD. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks
