ptsd C&P Exam for PTSD--What does this mean?
I made my initial PTSD claim in March of 2009 and it was denied. I then filed a NOD and it was received on 11/26/2013 and I just had my C&P exam for PTSD last week. I am looking at the results online, but I really don't know what it means or how it translate to anything and I was hoping maybe you all could help clarify for me. How will the VA rater view this? S/C? Denied again? Approved with any type of rating? This is all so confusing to me and I'm so sick of fighting through all of this. I'm just tired at this point. 1. Diagnostic Summary --------------------- Does the Veteran have a diagnosis of PTSD that conforms to DSM-5 criteria based on today's evaluat…

PTSD and being educated
Recently completed examination for PTSD, however I was not happy with how it went. When asked about my history, I provided that I completed a BA, MS, and currently working on an EdD. It appeared the doctor had the opinion that I could not possibly be suffering from PTSD because of my career field and educational attainment. As a rebuttal, I was sure to emphasize the fact online education was my way to deal with my internal issues. At the end it was mentioned, I do have PTSD but my rating maybe minimal. The examination does not make sense to me because we all deal with issues differently. What does the group think?

C & P Exam - Rater Asked For Another DBQ
Background: I had a C & P exam on 5 Dec 2015 for several disabilities. The examiner didn't mention cervical radiculopathy during the exam but in his notes he stated that the numbness in the upper extremity was caused by carpal tunnel syndrome and not cervical radiculopathy. Cervical radiculopathy had been diagnosed twice...once while I was on active duty and once after. Are the second examiners findings as shown below likely to help my claim? Excerpts from the DBQ: The examiner stated that the right upper extremity is CTS; however, we have the private EMG showing moderate CTS on the right with ulnar neuropathy and C7 radiculopathy. Please review the evidence li…

ptsd New
I have a huge question that I need help with. I just received my letter from the VA saying that my rating is 100% for PTSD. I have been going to school on Post 9-11 and work study at the VA. So how do I find out if I am employable or not employable. I have the letter and it says: You are considered to be totally and permanently disabled due solely to your service-connected disabilities: YES.Does that mean I can't work or go to school?

PTS C&P Exam Monday
Hello everyone, I've been dealing with uncomfortable emotions since I returned home from my final deployment about a year ago. I've noticed an incredible sense of disconnect, anxiety and depression. I spent almost 7 years in the Infantry with 31 months over seas, 24 being in Afghanistan with only about 8- 10 guys living out of isolated strong points. We called it strong point warfare and it was extremely kinetic. I loved all the fire fights, camaraderie, air support, being a grunt. We had many replacements due to WIA and KIA... it was rough. Now, I live a very uncomfortable life and I'm incapable of relating or communicating with anyone. I just want to be alone, all the t…
