Sinusitis C & P Exam
My neighbor finally received a date for his C&P exam (sinusitis). He got all of his private treatment records together and forwarded the information to the VSO. He had a CT Scan in 2012 and recently had a X-Ray in March of 2014. Both showed mucosal thickening in the frontal (2012), sphenoid (2012), and ethmoid (2014) sinuses. He is trying to service connect through continuity of care since his service medical records don't list the disease as "chronic". His private doctor wont provide a nexus or do a DBQ form. He stated, "its not possible to say if a two bouts of sinusitis in 2006 are connected to his current sinus problems". He discharged in 2007 from the Navy. His…

I Just Got Back From My Sons Exam For Ptsd And Wanted Input.
This is my first post and I wanted input on my sons PTSD exam. The examiner said my son had multiple related diagnosis and his service connection was presumptive because of the conditions of his service and time period of diagnosis. He wanted to know why he waited so long to submit a claim after diagnosis. It's been 6 or 7 years since he was diagnosed right after service. He also said we should arrange to get power of attorney over him. He did not let me in at first and then called for me. He said had looked over his records and would look at some more records and then submit it to the regional office. The exam went quick he did not want to go into detail and said it wo…

Mh Problems, No C&p... Neck Problems Dr. Says Atrpohy... Plz Help
Thank you for taking the time to read this. My Major claim is for TBI with MDD and Anxiety with Panic... I went through 2nd Level TBI evaluation and have been seen by Dr.'s for Anxiety and Depression since I got out in 02'. 2nd level TBI said just that. I had a TBI from a serious MVA. I did not receive a C&P for Mental Health. Thoughts? My second compliant is my neck and left leg. During exam Dr said me lookin to the right was just about 60degrees and left was 55degrees... Not sure what that meant, but then she checked my left and right arm and said my left arm had a good bit of atrophy in it and it worried her because of the MVA that I had in the military and…

Lovinglife - Newbie With Questions
Hello, I am new to the forum so I apologize if this has ended up in the wrong section but it was the closest topic to my situation - smile. I just had a general medical examination with Veterans Evaluation Services. All seemed to go well as there were three DBQ's that had to be completed (GERD, GYN, STOMACH). The doctor completed all (which "appeared" to be in my favor). However, on the last DBQ there was a question that stated " Does the veteran have any other pertinent physical findings, complications, conditions, signs and/or symptoms? The doctor noted that she recommended that I have and endoscopy to test for H-pylori and a hiatal (sp) hernia, and testing for B12 d…

ptsd C&p Exam Today! Need Advice!
I have my C&P exam today for my bilateral foot conditions. How do I let the examiner know I'm In pain during the physical if I'm not in pain today? Will this impact my rating? I also had an exam for reevaluation for PTSD on Wednesday and I'm worried I might be decreased. The examiner asked me 5 or 6 questions and it lasted about 10 min. I hadn't gone to the VA for counseling ( only new or to change a dosage of of medication) I'm extremely worried.

Vso Or Not
Wondering if having a VSO is really necessary or not. I actually didn't go through a VSO for my new claim nor the claim I just got reevaluated for yesterday. I currently have all of my one medical record from outside provider and just submitted it. Does that affect the VA's decision whether or not if you have representation. I just remember being in the army in my Meb stage and never able to reach my PEBLO which was frustrating. How does everyone else feel about this? To have a VSO or not to have a VSO is the question.

C&p For New Claim Before C&p From Remand...
The VA amazes me at times. I was just notified of a C&P for an increase filed 3/25/2014 (FDC) scheduled for the 25th of this month. I have yet to hear about a C&P for a remanded issue with a remand date of 4/24/2013.

Strange C&p Yesterday! 5 Minute Exam.
Well, finally got my C&P yesterday and my mouth is still hanging open. Started off in the not so nice part of the city and while sitting in the parking area i thought to myself this is not going to be good after what was posted about this doc on the internet. After waiting for 25 min. to go back to the exam room (and noticing the clientel that was entering his office) I thought accident doctor. When i got into the exam room it was stark to say the least with only an exam table and sink and unfinished counter, oh, and 3 full boxes of exam robes. When the doc came in he was plesent but to the point. He asked me if I filled out the QTC DBQ and i said yes and asked if…

Disappointment C & P Exams
Folks: I'm sure others had the same experience and I'd like to here other stories. During the mid 80's, I was involved with a serious Tank Accident and later a Tank explosion which are covered cleary within my records. Anyway, I went in for several C & P exams at once and a APRN did the C&P exams. She made an issue about how busy she was and how she was really overworked and I got the feeling that she did not want to do it? So anyway, I sat next to her in the exam room while she worked on a computer and asked me a series questions on several different parts of my body associated with my claims. Then, once all the questions were done, she went back and physic…
