This Doesnt Look Right
heres the regs for mental health for 30 and ten percent. On my recent CP exam, most of the symptoms fall under the 30 percent symptoms, but in the question where they ask the CP examiner which most fits, she checked the 10 percent box Occupational and social impairment with occasional decrease in work efficiency and intermittent periods of inability to perform occupational tasks (although generally functioning satisfactorily, with routine behavior, self-care, and conversation normal), due to such symptoms as: depressed mood, anxiety, suspiciousness, panic attacks (weekly or less often), chronic sleep impairment, mild memory loss (such as forgetting names, directions, …

Migraines Increase
Hello, I am rated at 30% for migraines. I had my C&P exam in the 17th the Neurologist asked how frequently I get migraines. She kept using headaches. I told her daily and that I have to take off work when it is bad. She gave me a calendar and told me to tell her the days I was out sick. That morning I had a migraine and my thinking was not good. I was not feeling well and was crying. Anyway, she mentioned last time I seen Neurologist was January, I told her I speak to my Neurologist weekly. That of I am not well, he tells me to come straight in. So it is not a scheduled appt. he tells them at front desk to check me in. My sick leaves shows out sick once a month …

Preparing For The C& P Exam
Several things to do or know b4 the exam 1. Download and fill out the DBQ for what you are claiming, ex; HTN, heart disease, ED. 2. See if can check out the doctors qualifications, is he/she board certified? 3. Hint: if not a specialist in what you are claiming, say heart disease, then you have grounds for a n appeal. Send the VARO a certified letter immediately after the exam stating that you did not receive a thorough and contemporanous exam since the exam was not conducted by a specialist in your condition. 4. Important thing to ask the examing doctor! Did you read/review my c-file before my appointment? if the answer is no, or something like I have it but not re…

ptsd Best Course Of Action?
Hi everyone, sorry if this is a repeated post. I'm a pretty avid forum user and I know some questions can be extremely obnoxious, but I am honestly at my wits end as far as trying to get straight answers involving my case. My situation in chronological order: -Medically discharged April 29, 2014. -Combat related injuries were rated at 20% DOD and 90% VA. -Went through the IDES process, etc. -Upon discharge, got in touch with a VSO in home town who came off as very knowledgeable, but turned out to not really know what he was talking about. He suggested that I apply for Individual Unemployability and go to school. So we applied for Individual Unemployability, and as…

C&p Exam With The Same Doctor Good Or Bad?
I looked on ebenifits and noticed that the exam calendar had the same Doctor that checked me off on my current rating during the first C&P exam. I'm looking it as a possible good thing since she agreed with my injuries last time. I'm basically claiming the same injuries just on my other body parts.. Its not been over a year since my last appointment with the same Doctor and my new appointment with her is at the end of this month.. is it normal to have the same Doctor for multiple C&P exams? Thank You

ptsd C&p Exam Conducted Before Psychologist/psychiatrist Appointments....
Just as my topic states, I am brand new to this process. I was advised to go to my VSO (found out I had one apparently, DAV) and they would begin the process for me to help with my symptoms. I went to the DAV, then VA. The DAV submitted a claim on my behalf. I was diagnosed for PTSD by the VA when I checked into my VA for the 1st time. Before I met with my psychologist/psychiatrist, they had scheduled my C&P. The C&P was based off of information that was in the system at the time. So my issue is, had I had this complete before the C&P, it would have changed some markings by the C&P doctor. Since I have done everything through the VA so far, do th…
