Requesting A New C&p
Is it possible to request a new C&P? I had one on 4/25/14, it lasted less than 1/2 hour and my claim for PAD secondary to my SC DMII was denied based on what the C&P Dr. wrote even though I had 2 Drs. who are treating me stated it was connected. Has anyone very tried to get a new C&P, if so how do you do it and with whom? Thanks, Hugh

tdiu C&p Compensation Increase (Tdui)
From a previous post that I made, someone confirmed I could "possibly" can get TDIU without meeting the percentage requirements listed on the VA website (). That being recognized, the attached is my C&P results that actually put me on VA Pension. And, according to that exam it states on page three of one of the documents: "Ultimately, the medical evidence of record confirms that you are unable to secure and follow a substantially gainful occupation due to your service-connected and nonservice-connected disabilities." And, on page 2 of another document it states: "Further, in order for a veteran to be entitled to nonservice-connected pension, there must b…

ptsd Just Got A Copy Of My C&p. Looks Promising!
I had my C&P last week. This claim has been a 14 month nightmare with a denial, admin review, and re-open. At least 3 times I had considered giving up but a lot of people on here kept giving me new found strength, which I am thankful for. I think I might get this thing turned around after all but would greatly appreciate some advice on if it will pass and what type of % I might be awarded. I don’t have a digital copy but I can post some of the main points. Thanks again. Simptoms that apply to veterans diagnosis: x Depressed mood x Anxiety x Suspiciciousness x Panic attacks more than once a week x Chronic sleep impairment x Mild memory …

ptsd Civilian Ptsd Exam Notes....not Normal Format. Thoughts On Rating?
Had my C&P and the civilian doc didn't follow the format I usually see posted on here......hard to interpret. I'm thinking it seems to fit a 50% rating...but maybe 70%? Any advice or thoughts? He does stay depressed on a daily basis with sad mood and crying spells, the insomnia as noted, poor appetite with a 25 pound weight loss, the irritability and rage, anhedonia, lethargy and fatigue, some chronic headaches and passive thoughts about death but no active suicidal ideation. No psychotic symptoms. Section V additional symptoms to PTSD: Depressed mood, anxiety, suspiciousness, chronic sleep impairment, disturbances of motivation and mood, diffic…

Blown Away!
So I just got home from my C&P and am still slightly in disbelief. The day started with this computer examination asking questions such as "do you dress like a woman". And "Do you feel aroused harming animals". Ok, standard stuff. I then had my 11:00 am appointment with the head shrink. I was escorted to his office and he introduced himself. Older guy with a cane. I noticed immediately that something was drastically off with him, as if he had mild Parkinson's disease or something. I thought "oh xxxxxxx great". About 40 minutes later he asked me a question that I won't/can't repeat in a public forum. This dude asked me if he can tell me something personal, off the reco…

ptsd New Guy Here
I've been reading these posts for a while now, and finally decided to join. Reading what you all have been writing has given me many answers and signs of relief over the past few months. I started getting MH treatment at my VA back in September. Unforunately it took me hitting rock bottom, and completely destroying everything good I had going on in my life before I was finally able to realize that I needed help. At that time I put in a claim for PTSD. So, I had my C&P last Friday (May 16) and, as many of you, was freaked out for the two weeks prior. I couldn't understand why the VA was bringing in a civilian doctor for my exam, but I figured it was because I was an ac…

C&p Exam
Hello, My sister attempted to get a copy of her C&P exam and they informed her that her records were restricted. She has been out of the military for about 10 years in where she did not require any type of clearance and she does not work at a government facility. Does anyone have any notion on why her records would be restricted? Thank you T

ptsd Ptsd Reexamination
Hello. I was hoping to gain some understanding on how the va works when it comes to reexaminations. I was rated at 70 percent for ptsd 6 years ago and I have just received a letter for my very first reexamination. The letter that I received and the information on ebenefits is what I have below. I never requested an increase or is it because I have held the same rating for 5 years that they can only increase and not decrease or just leave it as is? I've been doing some reading and from what I've read, they can only decrease if they can prove that the condition has drastically improved. I'm not certain about anything but any help understanding this would be greatly ap…

hypertension 2Nd C&p Exam Note Questions
Went for a second c&p exam last week and I'm afraid it doesn't look good for me. Currently I'm 50% for PTSD and 10% for tinnitus. My first exam was back in '08 when I originally filed so I guess this exam was just a follow up. I'm an OIF 1 veteran if that makes a difference. Below are my exam notes.
