ptsd Ptsd Vs. Unemployability
SCN_20100415131441_001.pdf I have a letter from the Chief of Mental Health as you can see at the beginning of this post. Do I need to go for Total Unemployability or 100% for PTSD. This part has me confused? I have several other letters that follow this same line of thinking. I am currently rated at 30% for scars because of burns and 70% for PTSD. I am currently awaiting OPM to approve my full Disability from the VA Hospital as an employee. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you for your input, BigDan.

ptsd Arng Ptsd Claim
I am not new to this site but this is my first post. Filed VA claim with ptsd and everything else that goes with it. My trauma occurred while on weekend warrior status. My question is this: am I as eligible as is I was on active duty with the same claim? Received paper work from VA stating that they have no record of this happening on active duty. Really nervous with this process and with ptsd I cannot stand any of this stress. Going to the VSO tomorrow but it is bugging me now. Looked at my records on the screen while at the va hospital and it said chronic ptsd(had it 25 years and thought I was the crazy uncle in the family) GAD, MDD and agoraphobia. Saw one GAF of 48. T…

ptsd Killing Or Dying
Well I did what people wanted me to do. Now I am confused. It didn't help me any better. I feel worse. I can feel anger and to hurt someone. I stopped drinking a year ago. I usually have a drink now when I feel this way. the voices are coming around like before. Alot of anger. It's sunday over here and I can't get a hold of my psychiatrists and counselor. The message on the phone said in case of an emergency go to ER. But, I can't do that. People will know and put me inside. I can't do that. Hurting someone else or even killing always goes through my mind...that's why I want to kill myself instead. Has anybody else got this reaction after a c&p? I've g…

ptsd Suggestions
I received a 30% rating for PTSD, I'm thinking of filing a NOD. Let me know what you guys think. Award letter states:I'm a combat vet with silver star, bronze star with V and purple hearts, so my testimony alone is sufficient as far as a combat stressor is concerned. I was able to reopen this case from one I filed in 1983 which was denied. The examiner stated all the causes of the PTSD This is were I'm having a problem with the rating. Quote "Overall, teh medical examiner diagnosed your condition as posttraumatic stress, and provided you a GAF score between 51-60". A few days later added "clarified his medical opinion, and included an opinion the condition presentsdepr…

diabetes New Claim
Hi Folks, I just had my first C&P exam. I am interested in finding out where this claim will lead. It seems to me that most initial claims have to be appealed. So I would like to get in front of it a little. Here's my story. I'm afraid that it will be a little long. Stick with me. I was stationed at Philadelphia Naval Hosp. #5 in 1966 - 1967. I was a corpsman and 17 years old. Philadelphia was a major receiving point for a lot of Willie Peter burns and gun shot wounds, particularly to the face. Any wound where the round or shrapnel or burn destroyed a big chunk of meat. The unit I worked on took anyone who needed graft work and after the doctors set up the g…

ptsd Ptsd And Va Backpay
Hello Everyone, I just receive word from a doctor who stated she thought the VA may have to pay me back pay for misdiagnosing my condition which was originally (Adjustment Disorder 30%) to now (PTSD/Bi-Polar 70%). I was also informed by the SSA office, that I would receive back pay from the date I was listed as disabled and unable to work due to my disabilities. Is this all true? And if so, where could/would I find out more information regarding these issues? Thanks to All, and God bless! Gmann_2010
