ptsd Mental Health Over Filled
I haven't been on this site since about a month ago. I was suicidal and wanted to lash out. Since then the people around me that I had learned to trust has violated that trust. I went to my va psychiatrist to get help...I also called the hotline and ended up hanging up on him (I don't know why...all I can say it's a matter of trusting who really knows what to do.) I'm tired of explaining how or what I'm feeling. It's not a matter of what I'm feeling...it's a matter of how out of control my head/brain/thinking is. If it's quiet-there's a loud buzzing sound in my head. I turn on the radio and/or tv so that I won't hear it. I get so angry. Just excuse my jibber and …

ptsd Is This True Or Still Going On?
Why the VA doesn't want to diagnose Iraq War Veterans' PTSD Mark Dombeck, Ph.D. Updated: May 20th 2008 Earlier this month, Dr. Norma Perez an employee of a VA hospital somewhere in America wrote the following email and sent it out to a number of VA clinical employees: "Given that we are having more and more compensation seeking veterans, I'd like to suggest that you refrain from giving a diagnosis of PTSD straight out. Consider a diagnosis of Adjustment Disorder, R/O PTSD Maset22. This is just the kind of thing most of my posting is concern with. Plase can someone elaborate. Just want a fair deal plus gea better.

ptsd Seeking Legal Assistance For Ptsd Claim
Hello All, I was hoping someone could kindly point where I might be able to get some legal representation for myself. I currently have claims in for both PTSD, and mildTBI with the V.A. and am getting the run around from the V.A. and the V.F.W. who is suppose to representing me in my claim. I have already filed and appealed my claims, but I am getting tired of their silly games where they basically call you out as a liar, despite having evidence thats proves otherwise. I realize that I am not alone in this battle with the V.A. and hope there is some legal recourse we can take where they will start to take us veterans seriously. Any advice would be appreciated. …

ptsd Ptsd Post Traumatic Stress Disorder And Sleep
I have been in treatment for Service Connected PTSD for years with the VA. Lately, I have been experiencing a really scary sleep disorder. I awaken 1-3 times nightly beginning about two hours after going to sleep with visions of death related experiences. My death. It has been in the form of people and sometimes huge animals, I can feel it coming in my sleep but I cannot escape. I am usually screaming when my wife awakens me. Last night I had three episodes, the last just before I got up. I thrashed around so forcefully that I am afraid for my wife. The episodes are becoming more frequent both in how many times per night and times per week. When I searched sleep disorde…

MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER,RECURRENT,SEVERE WITHOUT PSYCHOTIC FEATURES, PANIC DISORDER WITH AGORAPHOBIA , ALCOHOL ABUSE DISORDER It is clear that alcohol abuse and depression are secondary to PTSD and evidence of poor coping style. ptsd Ptsd Medication
My private doctor has me on medication for depression, but not for PTSD. I will most likely be looking for a new doctor, since he told me that all veterans just need to get over it and stop using this as an excuse. Thats another story for another day. I seem to wonder or my thoughts seem to wonder sometimes, please for give me. Since, I will NOT go near a Veterans Hospital, what are some of the medications that are being used? Even with a lap band, I can not stop eating, and I know it is my PTSD. If I were doing drugs, drinking booze, this would be taken seriously, but food :) Papa

ptsd Ptsd
I served in Gulf War one. Din't think much about it. The other day I decided to put in a claim. After many years of taking care of Family going for the mithy dollars. Never thought I had PTSD. Crying in situations my sevicemen and women will get in mainly death and wounded, crying in movies like Hamburger Hill or platoon. My first experience was in I think Desert Shield. A bunker made for seven soldiers, turn out to be use by about thirty soldiers. At first I ran somewhere, all training was out the window. I made maybe two to three steps I regained my posture and I was about the second person in the bunker. In a moments notice I found my back againts the top of the bunker…

ptsd Received Award Letter Today.
I received my award letter today for 70% PTSD. At the time of my C&P exam I was employed by my father-in-law part time. Since then I have lost my job due to my condition. I applied for TDIU already (yesterday). I read over my evaluation and it seems to me that I would now qualify for 100%, I am searching for opinions on what to do, or if it's even worth going through? "An evaluation of 70% is assigned for occupational and social impairment, with deficiencies in most areas, such as work, school, family relations, judgment, thinking, mood, due to such symptoms as: suicidal ideation, obsessional rituals which interfere with routine activities; speech intermitt…
