ptsd Iu Paperwork
The last package I received from the VARO in Waco asked me for more evidence and what confused me IU paperwork. I am currently working as a WS-06 at Fort Hood and earning a fair check every 2 weeks. Although it's getting harder and harder to deal with my PTSD symptoms each day. I was seen about 1 1/2 weeks ago for my C&P for PTSD and things sounded more than favorable for a good outcome on that one(but I know how that can be twisted). But why would they send me IU paperwork prior to my C&P when I never indicated I was going for or expected 100% in the first place?Am I reading too much into this? Or is it Waco's way of beating me to the punch? Would it be smart for…

ptsd Anyone Rated For Tremor Secondary To Ptsd?
I am service connected for PTSD/depression at 50%, and 80% overall. When I got my neuro C&P for migraines, the VA doc also noted a bilateral hand tremor. It's variable in intensity and so far, medication hasn't done a thing for it. I realize that it's going to be an uphill battle getting the tremors acknowledged as secondary to PTSD, but I've got time and patience and a legal background. Question: Is there anyone on Hadit who has managed to obtain a separate rating for hand tremors secondary to PTSD? I've seen BVA cases, but I'd like to discuss with someone who's been there and done that. Thanks!

ptsd Iris Responses
I have sent two claim status request in the last month. I first called the 1800 number a few days before sending the 1st Iris request and got the reply " you claim is Pending". That was rather vague, so I waited a week and sent in the first IRIS claim status request and got this: ***This is in response to your inquiry dated September 5,2009, regarding the status of your PTSD claim. " In researching your file, our records reflect your claim was sent to the rating board and is ready for final decision. Even after a decision has been made, there are several administrative steps that must be completed before we finalize your claim. This process is in place to …

Portland Varo Taking Guns From Disabled Vets
Portland Regional Office is sending notice to local Disabled Veterans threatening to use The Brady Bill to take away 2nd Amendment Rights. It works like this: Every Disabled Veteran is evaluated for their competency to manage their VA Benefit check. This "evaluation" is done in each and every Compensation Examination without directly asking the Veteran any questions. Or if the Veteran states that their spouse "pays all the bills" because "I was never very good paperwork". The presumption is that every Disabled Veteran is NOT compentent and when notified later that such a ruling is "proposed", it is the burden of the Veteran to prove otherwise. The Veteran is notified in t…

Recently Granted Iu And Pt
I am new to this forum as far as posting but have been reading for months. My initial claim was filed in 97 and I received a 30% in 2006 after several denials and appeals. I was granted SSD in 2003 I asked for an increase for my Mood disorder and was recently increased to 70% 08 and I also have a 30% for allergic rhinitis with polyps. They granted me IU and P&T and made it retro to 3/08 my questions is I never submitted a IU form, but indicated in my appeal when I submitted evidence that I was not able to work and should be compensated as total and permanent and IU why was my effective date not listed when this was implied or was it because I was only 30% at the ti…

ptsd I'm Not Sure Where To Put This, Can Anyone Help?
Hello everyone, i just have a question about home loans. My husband was found to be incompetent per the Va due to lack of evidence saying that he is competent (due to his PTSD). Can we still buy a house? His name would have to be on it. I am sorry if this is not the place to put it, thank you.
