Your V.a. Journey
Hello everyone......i sincerely hope that everyone will take at least some time to learn the V.A. regulations and what's required/expected of us veterans to successfully prosecute/previail with our claim(s) rather than give in to useles anger and tirades. The V.A. must labor under the same regulations as you or me and all of this necessary info is easily accessed either online or via V.A. publications including ANY C&P exam relevant to your particular case.In perusing the many posts/feedback here over several years i see a clear gross lack of basic knowledge/understanding and ignorance of criteria essential for ANY hope of a successful claims outcome. To be sure,NOTHING…

ptsd Va Moves To Simplify Ptsd Rules
http://www.military.com/veterans-report/va...ules?ESRC=vr.nl this is huge! well, at least i think it is. if this goes thru, it would make a world of difference for the next generation of those applying for compensation. but, the devil's advocate part of me is saying it would also be easier for someone to work the system. over all, i think it is still good news!

Men And Mst
Up till about a 2 week ago I have never talk about this, but it has affected my life with ever thing I do. I was 20 I was station in Diego Garcia. I was sitting on the beach when I was Sexual assault by two men. After that I started drinking hard and end up in Rehab for 6 weeks. I still did not talk about then I was a fearfully that I would get kick out of the Navy for being nuts or homosexual, "Please remember that was 1986 and the Military was on the hunt for any one that might be gay". I am unable to hold a job for 2 years at time and now take Citalopram for depression. At times my depression is so bad I think it would be easier if I just ended it all. I have all kinds…

Your Kidding Me Right?
In the past we have tried to seek info to debunk information that was out there used to scare us and freak us out. I was not trying to be political or espouse any belief system. I was merely trying to see if anyone could figure this out to calm my nerves also. Anybody that has been on this site more than a day should know that I am not a person with malice towards my fellow vets. This was posted on a site hosted by the wife of an active duty MSG buddy of mine whom has more than 3 combat tours and at least 200 combat missions under belt. I read this site for years before I joined and I thought we sought the truth in such matters.

ptsd Ptsd P/t And Tdiu
hi, i would first off like to thank everyone on this site for helping veterans such as myself get the answers they are looking for. Here's my background history with the va: I'm 27 (veteran of whatever war the news is calling it these days). may 2007 i was granted 70% for ptsd for a claim i put in october of 2006. I put in for IU in may 2008 and was awarded that so i'm 100% total. I've also been awarded SS. I had stated to SS that i was unable to work due to 'ptsd, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and suicidal idealation.' and they cleared it. My first question is what is it when people say TDUI. I know the IU but is the TD just saying 'total disability. As in, …

hypertension Military Sexual Trauma
x x x http://www.healingcombattrauma.com/military_sexual_trauma/ Why rape is under-reported in the military: "Having the courage to report a rape is hard enough for civilians, where unsympathetic police, victim-blaming myths, and the fear of reprisal prevent some 60 percent of rapes from being brought to light, according to a 2005 Department of Justice study. But within the military, reporting is much riskier. Platoons are enclosed, hierarchical societies, riddled with gossip, so any woman who reports a sexual assault has little chance of remaining anonymous. She will probably have to face her assailant day after day and put up with resentment and blame…
