ptsd Denied
I was just recently denied my claim for entitlement to compensation for PTSD. I know that I am already at 100%; but that is by TDIU. My SC comp does not equal 100% and it would be better to be schedular. Anyway, PTSD was not just diagnosed on my recounting of the past events but by a series of tests. VARO noted the MH records they wanted to view and ignored the rest of the record or they would have seen the tests I took in my records, as well. Anyway, I really want SC for the PTSD because it is a real issue and the anxiety is real too. I'm also still undergoing treatment and participating in group. Any words of wisdom are welcomed. Thanks, in advance. I've …

ptsd Iris Request
1. HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE VA AS HAVING PTSD, AND MDD. HAVE BEEN IN INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR APPROX. TWO YEARS, AND ON MEDICATIONS TO ASSIST IN THE THERAPY. HAVE REQUESTED A C&P EXAMINATION VIA TEXAS VETERANS COMMISSION, WITH SUBMISSION OF REQUIRED VA FORM 21-4138 ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS. AND HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY REPLY FROM HOUSTON CONCERNING THIS ISSUE. 2. HAVE A PENDING APPEAL ON 7 ISSUES. THE NOTICE OF DISAGREEMENT WAS RECEIVED BY THE VA ON 2/13/2008. REQUEST TO KNOW THE STATUS OF THESE CLAIMS, AND I REALIZE THE CASE LOAD AT HOUSTON IS EXTREMELY HEAVY. IF YOU ARE WORKING ON CLAIMS PREVIOUS TO MINE, COULD YOU STATE WHAT MONTH AND YEAR. SO THAT I MAY INTERPERATE…

ptsd 70% Compensable Without Ptsd
I am overall 100% but only compensable 70% for physical disabilities. Recently as advised by my VA rep I had put in for a PTSD claim. My VA mental health therapist who I see every 2 weeks says I have it and my c and p doctor rated me at a gaf 45 and his exact words were that i am unable to work due to military service. I'm on meds for ptsd and have not worked in over 3 years and before that never worked for one continous year. I suffered a severe head injury and have never felt "right" since. It has been about 8 months since I was denied tdiu so i'm still within my window for appeal if need be. I did things backards and filed for tdiu last year before my c and p exam for …

ptsd What Year Was Ptsd Established In Dsm-iii,
It would appear that a veteran with non-combat injuries is discriminated against via those who were in combat ie; stressor verification and or presumption of service due to lack of CIB,or other combat related badges or citations....It would appear that non-combat injuries have no weight or bearing with the VA or other governmental subsideries, and that having no correlation to combat these individuals must execute and overcome extreme hardships to prove the existenance of an injury occurring during military service. Does not being in combat, make us less injured? Are not non-combat veterans still eintitled to the same care, compassion, and respect as combat veterans? a…

ptsd Need Higer Rating...
ive read through a lot of the posts and got some good info, but all cases are diff so i thought id try my luck with my own. im currently rated at 50 for ptsd 10 for limited thigh flexion, 10 lumbar spine strain, and 10 for knee cond for a total of 60. i had more cases pending for tbi and tinnitus but i failed to show for the c & p exams. anyway, my original shrink left the VA so they re assigned me a new one , he decided to switch up meds, yadda yadda, i saw him briefly but just wasnt working so i tried a new doc who also just threw pills at me. i know they may work but the side effects were too much. havent been back in a while anyway, long story short,…

ptsd Hiding Your Ptsd
Everyone handles their War Time differently. I realize I disguised my problem by working long hours, over comitting, and work hard to hide my PTSD. I didn't know what I was doing, but now after 30 plus jobs after release from the Army, I realize maybe it not them, it could be me. I alway find fault, don't get along, and cause disturbances. To the question, and any advice you can give me. Is Staying employed at something for 40 year after RVN, is it going to give me a small rating. I wasn't concerned about the rating at first, but now I realize they really are not going to help me, I have submitted for compensation

ptsd Ptsd Claim Deferred And Also Iu
OK I have posted this elsewhere but I am trying to get it straight what DH and I should do. June 2008 DH filed claim for increase on SC peptic ulcer disease plus etxras, also filed claim on PTSD (his Dr told him to do this) and also one on his lower back (he has documented back injury from Nam). SC got increased to 60% which is wonderful. Back was denied as they said no connection between Nam injury and what is going on now (other Dr's disagree) the PTSD which had been diagnosed as severe repressed PTSD, put in program, on meds, monthly appointments - was deferred for more information. His GAF is 45. How much more do they want? The head of the PTSD Clinic is the one w…
