PTSD re-evaluation
I received my rating for PTSD in 2017. I recently got a call to schedule an evaluation for PTSD. I'm assuming they're checking to see if my symptoms have gotten any better. Is there anything I need and/or should do to prepare for this (ie documentation). I get so uncomfortable having to talk about things to a stranger.

mst-ptsd Military Sexual Trauma (MST) - PTSD
One of my friends been out the military for 6 years. However, he needs to file for MST. He doesn't have any evidence in his records (No police records, investigations, statements, or anything) of MST but to my knowledge, a bill was passed that says we no longer need evidence. I could be wrong so please correct me if I am. Here are my questions below: 1. Does he need buddy statements from friends he served with to get it connected to service? 2. Does he need to provide a name of the person that sexually assaulted him? 3. Does he need a phycologist nexus outside the VA of all his symptoms with the verbiage, "It is in my professional opinion that, his PTSD was…

Secondary questions
Hi, and thank you all for any help. I am currently at 40% and recently applied for Insomnia as a secondary condition. The CP exam ruled in my favor, but the VA said the Insomnia is caused by headaches which is a current secondary condition.I was denied. And to make matters a bit worse, I asked for an increase for my headaches and sent in medical paperwork to show it got worse. The CP exam there showed in my favor they were getting worse, yet the VA sent me a request for evidence to continue the rating. I wrote on my statement I have headaches, but its the tinnitus which keeps me up. My doctor wrote some additional stuff, and said he doesn't know who reviews these thin…

70% TDIU P&T
Hello all, I was recently called in for a 5-year reexamination for PTSD w/ Major Depressive disorder. I had my C&P on July 13th, 2020, with a private contractor. Little background, I was first rated for Major Depression in 2010, at 70%. I filed for IU and it was granted. Fast forward five years, I was called in again for a routine exam. They diagnosed PTSD w/ Major Depressive, effective May 2015, at 70%. Presently, the recent C&P on July 13th was attended and report was submitted to the VBA the same day. They made the claim decision yesterday, July 15th, 2020. I haven’t received my decision packet in the mail yet, but eBenefits is showing…

TDIU for PTSD denied... because I am a parent??
Okay so this is my first post, but I have been a long time lurker and just want to say thanks for years of informative and helpful content! I recently applied for TDIU due to my PTSD rated at 70% (90% overall rating) in April of this year, with an intent to file dated back to October 2019. I am honestly flabbergasted at what the rater used as the basis for their decision. I have never seen or even heard of something like this and am looking for input on how to proceed. I am definitely appealing but thats as far as I have gotten at this point. Here is a brief timeline for reference: January 2019 - Started struggling at work (desk job, minimal interac…

Newly 100% P&T PTSD, Scared about SSDI
Hello everyone. I've been searching this website and yukon website for my answers and I guess I just want to ask this question again because the answers I'm seeing are from 2011 or so and I want to make sure it's still valid for 2017. I got out of the service on medical discharge for fibromyalgia, MDD, and GAD in 2008. I was unable to tell anyone about my MST that happened prior to me developing Fibro (which I found out is usually connected to PTSD). Anyrate, since then I have talked to the VA Psychs for help and tried to "fix" myself and finally I opened up and told them about my MST and received a diagnosis of PTSD in 2013. Then in 2016 my VA Primary Care told m…

How I got a 100% Schedular P&T for PTSD and SSDI
So, I figure this might help you wonder if you have qualify for 100% Schedular P&T for PTSD. First of all, I was 26 when I was put for 100% Schedular for PTSD. I don't advise going down this road unless you're already on it, because once you're on it, there's very little chance for coming off. So, I had a tough time at my job and I was experiencing suicidal ideation. I was initially at 50% for PTSD. I was regularly seeing a psychologist and I really wasn't taking meds at the time. I went to the mental hospital for approximately 5 days. They put me on Quetiapine. Horrible drug! I put on so much weight! I started seeing a psychiatrist and took time off work. Put in for …

Denied PTSD claim
👋 All, my question is this. I filed a PTSD claim within a year of separating, the VA denied the claim, i did not do a NOD. I filed a supplement claim Oct last year with a buddy statement that I did not have before, along with my corrected Dd214 with my campaign medals. The va granted me 70% for PTSD, but only back date it to the supplement file date. I did an appeal for the earlier effective date to the original claim. What is the possibility of them granting the earlier effective date?

Your regulatory or procedural review – Received October 18, 2018 has been closed
My claim was denied on May 1st, 2020, for PTSD because the diagnosis had not been entered into my chart. May 21st, 2020, I submitted a Supplemental Claim after the diagnosis was entered into my chart. On June 1st, 2020, the Supplemental Claim appeared on my va.gov site along with, "Claim for regulatory or procedural review" "Submitted on: October 18, 2018". On June 5th, 2020, the message was, " Claim for regulatory or procedural review updated on June 5, 2020, Status: Closed" It states a decision letter has been sent and to check my e benefits site for my rating, which there was no change, which I did not expect because, I'm scheduled for my second C&…
