ptsd Finally, A Change Appears On Ebenefits
My DH filed a claim for PTSD back in October, via a VA satellite office. The VA counselor helped him fill out the form, and she time-date stamped it for him, then faxed it to the VARO. They sent back a notice of receipt, but then promptly lost the paperwork. We hadn't heard anything from them, no VCAA or anything else, so DH went back into the VA office (it's an on-site office on a nearby military installation). She found out that the paperwork was lost at the VARO and had him send in another couple forms (this was December). On Ebenefits, his original claim form appeared with the October date. However, still, we haven't received a single letter or anything at all…

ptsd Should I File For Ptsd
With all my condition's I have and now being P&T. Does it or will it help to file for PTSD before I kick the can. Does the increase more percent to do any good for my wife in monies? Some one at HADIT told me to go for every percent you can get. Of course I'm Ptsd. But I don't want to waste time on something that does no good!

ptsd Should I File?
I served 25 months active duty . I was discharged under general under honorable conditions. (pattern of disciplinary issues) I believe. I was states side. My fiance became pregnant and I was the happiest person in the world. She decided to have an abortion without telling me. It was a 2 day procedure. When she came back it was clear she was very sick. I found out and "being a man" went with her for support on the 2nd day (even though I was 100% against it). It was honorific, I still picture it every night when I go to sleep. I was sent to the mental ward in Denver Colorado for two weeks against my wishes. And was discharged a few weeks after that. I had no idea I co…

ptsd Still Waiting
OK guys and girls going on twenty months and still waiting At least my PTSD claim is with a single rater for the 4th time since sept 2010 I would recommend that if you file more than one claim .personally i would not submit 2 or more claims as add ons i submitted my heart claim in 1984,and then in july 2010 i filed the second claim for PTSD and my local vso added it on to my heart claim. I personally think the second claim should have been filed separate Well! my heart claim has been rated since july 2011 but the VA will not tell me what i was rated at until they finish the PTSD claim The last time i gave the VA more info on my TSD claim i took the advise of …

ptsd No One Can Find Out Anything!
In Sep-Oct 2010, I have a re-evaluation for PTSD done by a QTC Doctor. Got my report from the VA about 2 months afterwards. I waited about 6 months after that, and tried the 1-800 Peggy number, nothing. I then tried IRIS, waste of time. Then, I called my Lawyer to have him call the Houston RO. He called back and told me that he had to leave a message for them to call him back. That he would call me once he has heard back from them, that has been about 3 weeks ago. I know that I should not feel this way, and claims are taking a long time, but it really makes me feel like they are trying to hide something from me (the VA). The VA contracted Doctor clearly linked my …

ptsd Copy Of C&p Exam
Please give advice. I filed my claim 1/23/11. I had 7 contentions plus Tdiu. C&P for shoulder on 7/06/11, and C&P for Ptsd and M. Depressive Disorder/MST on 11/01/11. Claim went to prep for decision/rating on 12/14/11. Question: Is it too risky to get a copy of the psyche C&P now for fear of delaying process?

ptsd Tdiu For Ptsd
Hello to All, I am a female veteran who served from 04-07. I did one tour in Iraq, worked QRF and experienced MST. I don't want to go into detail due to my illness. I was medboarded even though I did not want to get out. I was stationed in Ft.Carson at that time their Psych Unit was being investigated for mistreating patients who had signs of PTSD. It was a painful time in my life which still angers me. When I got medboarded I was not told about any benefits I just got a one way ticket home. I went to the VA and was told to file a claim. I received 50% for ptsd and 10% lower back pain. I was told by my Psych at the VA to file for an increase since it is impossible for …

ptsd How To Follow Up On Claim
If my forthcoming comments and questions have been addressed elsewhere, please forgive me. On August 4, 2011 I submitted a claim for PTSD and other things related to Agent Orange exposure since I had a presumptive condition (Ischemic Heart Disease). It has now been 5 months and 15 days, and I still haven't received a decision from the VA on either claim. I know from some of the reading I've done on this forum that long delays are not unusual, but I am wondering if there is anything I can do to move things along without irritating anyone. I was told by the VRO yesterday that claims in that office took nine months before a decision is made. Is this the norm? Also how …
