tdiu Va Requesting Records Not There
My husband filed a TDIU claim and VA is now requesting his SSDI medical records which they say can take a while. Problem is, there are no such records since he does not get nor has never applied for SSDI due to the fact he is already receiving regular Social Security. Is it best to upload a note explaining this to avoid wasting this time? Thanks Kate

I Successfully Was Award 100% Iu P And T, But They Didn't Pay Back To Date Of Claim?
So, my original date of filing for IU was Jan. 2011, denied in August of 2013, sent in new evidence (based on social security awarding me disability back to 2009 for my sc disabiities), then VA awards me 100% IU PT, in Feb 2014 but only paid me back to September of 2013. The only thing I see in any of my records with that date is a letter I requested from Voc. rehab to add that I was no longer in voc. rehab. the letter was dated in september but I had been out of voc. rehab recommended by my shrink since Nov of 2012. Isn't it odd to not give me backpay to even the day I filed for reconsideration? (Feb 2013). I feel I should have been backpaid to the original claim date…

Looking For A Form To Submit With Imo Letter
Hi, Since my last post I have filed for IU, SSDI and have been approved for Long term disability from employer insurance plan. I have been attempting to get an IMO saying that I am not employable. The VA Dr. will not do it because they are mandated by the VA legal counsel not to express direct opinions regarding compensation. The Dr.did say that I could get a form from the VA to submit with the letter to be written by a third party but I can't find this form. Should I just get a third party to review my records and do the letter? Any idea would be helpful. Thank You

Bva's Wait Time On Tdiu Claims
I currently have a claim at the Board of Veteran Appeals. It has been with the BVA since 09/24/2013. I signed a waiver. Requesting that BVA make a decision on my claim and not my Veteran Affairs Regional Office in Kentucky. This appeal remained at the VARO for two years without a favorable resolution. I'm expecting at least another 18 months or longer with BVA. What say others to this topic?

ptsd Ilp What Is The Process To Apply?
Last year I was scheduler 90% (Tinnitus,DM II, IHD and PTSD) and shortly afterwards awarded TDIU 100% + housebound. I was also awarded SSDI and have a long list of ailments. I am 64, turning 65 in March, and I feel like I have no interest in anything anymore (and haven't in a long time). I take psyc meds but it helps a little... if any. I don't have the ability to return to my previous employment and seriously doubt I would be eligible for Voc Rehab. I sometimes think I am just waiting around for one of my illnesses to do me in... yes, sad I know. I think a hobby like wood working of photography could help me to get out of myself and rejoin the human race. What steps …

tdiu Pissed About Call From Rater
Now that I have had some time to calm down, I am out right pissed at this rater. He started the conversation saying " you are very qualified with 5 mos's". Really buddy? Well apparently the Army didn't think so as they forced me into a medical retirement at 191/2 years of service! Nice way to strt the conversation when he is looking for my active duty treatment records because he is reviewing my 100%, tdiu, P&T rating that I have had since 2001. Just needed to vent

ptsd Call From Va Rater
I sent in my 21-4140 in Jan 2015 Have been rated 90%, tdiu, P&T since 2001. Received first 21-4140 ever in jan 2015. Worked 13 hrs made 325.00 in 2014 Caused a red flag because it looks like I went back to work Rater called because they cannot find copies of my treatment records from active duty. I have my records and to.d rater I would send a copy to the center in GA to be digitized. I am confused to as why they have to look at ll my records when my award was granted from my PEB/MEB records and records from Walter reed back in 2001. He was nice enough. Started conversation saying I was well qualified to work based on my 5 MOS's... I told him it depen…

ptsd Moving To Okinawa
Good day my fellow brothers and sisters, I will keep this short as possible. I was in the process of doing the paperwork to do inpatient therapy for my PTSD recommended by my therapist and was going to put in for an increase. My wife is active duty and currently on recruiting, she was trying to stay on this duty and put in a package her monitor shortly after that gave her orders to Okinawa, so of course when her package got to him he denied it, recruiting approved it so its up on someone's desk collecting dust, its taking forever and she can't get any straight answers from anyone about where exactly her package is and the decision, during the waiting time she has been fr…

ptsd Past Two C&p Exams Been Trying To Get Tdiu
also im on ssdi for depression and anaxity any thoughts on this if i can get iu. was denied last year for it (RECENT EXAM) As noted above, with regard to PTSD symptoms, the veteran reports that he regularly has intrusive thoughts about his traumatic event, and this tends to be accompanied by distress related to guilty cognitions about his role in that event. He has nightmares about combat themes a few nights per week, and struggles to go back to sleep after waking. He tends to avoid talking about his experiences in Iraq, and avoids most activities particularly those which would require him to leave the home. He notes that he experiences strong anxiety coupled w…

ptsd Ive Looked But Cannot Find It .
I need to find the M-21 version that states , p&t should be awarded when a condition has been static/ chronic for 5 yrs or longer. Putting in for p&t coming up on 6 yrs of no change . My psych DR wrote a letter stating I have been suffering from ptsd for the past 15 yrs . diagnosed and connected almost 6 yrs ago . Recently won appeal back to 2009 for TDIU . Her last paragraph reads : Opinion : It is my opinion that Mr Marine has been unemployable since atleast his hospitalization in 2009, if not before, due to the severity of his psychiatric conditions. Letters I have written in his support since May 2011 have consistently documented my belief that …
