tdiu What Is The Difference Between Tdiu And Iu?
I'm trying to understand the difference between the two. I'm hoping to go before a DRO regarding my SOC. I have all the information to ensure the DRO makes a decision in my favor. I've applied for IU 20+ months ago and now I am beginning to wonder if they can rate me TDIU instead. What's the difference and why should it matter?

tdiu 100% Va Unemployability
I already receive 20% VA disability. My current goal is to earn 100% TDIU from my various health ailments that began during the Army. I left the US Postal Service on disability in November 2010. I've been on SSDI since May 2011 and on FERS OPM disability since June 2012. My "older" claims are currently with a law firm from Maine and they have in place a hearing scheduled for me in the next 6-8 months before the VA judge, but I have several more pending claims before the VA and they have not decided on. Also, I need some assistance on getting a doctor referral so I can get a brain scan, so I can add the findings to my VA claims file...Help?. I requested my C-file agai…

ptsd Application For Tdiu
I was sent a TDIU form/application to fill out by the VBA about a year ago after my disability was raised to 90% (i.e. 70% PTSD,30% vistibular dysfunction, 10% nerve damage from wounds, etc-all of which are combat related service disabilties). At that time I did not know that TDIU was available to veterans and still don't know why they would send me the form unless they thought themselves that I was eligible. I'm also 65 now and could not re-enter the work force without new skills or updating my old skills: computer s/w and microbiology. Even though I retired about five years ago becuase of increasing problems associated with my disabilities, I retired of my own fr…

What Are My Chances?
On my IU C&P Exam, the Examineer stated that " the veteran will be unable to function in an Occupational Environment due to his SC ( Thoracolumbar Spine), he can not bend forward for more than 15 degrees, can not sit down more than 10-15 minutes and must ambulate with cane due to back and leg pain and poor balance". Last Dec 2012 I applied for VR & E, the Counselors found me not fit for Rehab and employment so they enrolled me in Independent Living Program. Home assessment was done last week. With the above situations, what are the chances of my claim for IU?

tdiu Question About Tdiu
Got a question for anyone that might be able to answer it; Why does a TDIU claim take as long, if not longer than a normal disability claim? For example, if a veteran meets the the basic criteria set by the VA, for example, someone already having met the minimum threshold of 60 to 70%, and can prove that the disability or disabilities obstruct one from being employed, I don't understand why it cannot be processed in a more timely manner. I know as well as anyone here that the backlog is insanely high, but one would figure, that a TDIU claim can be processed a little quicker than most, especially since the vast majority that apply, meet the criteria set. And since…

tdiu Tdiu Help
Ok here I am with another question. I am rated at 70% and have a claim in for IHD/CAD from AO. I hope to get the rating bumped up to 90 % or better. I also put in a claim for TDIU, so my question is, under TDIU will I be considered 100%? or will I keep the new rate and be paid at 100% and if so can I file for GA state benefits under 100% rule? Thank for all who replies back to me

ptsd Denied Increase In Ptsd And Tdiu
Received my envelope recently and needed time to think about claims. As I reported earlier I have a 50% rating for PTSD and since I do receive disability from social security I put in for TDIU.I don't think SS gave disability on PTSD alone, I just wanted to mention that. I also had a claim in for tinnitis which was granted so now I am at 60%. I was denied an increase in PTSD because they noted my degree of PTSD to them continues to most closely correspond with a 50% evaluations based on my symptoms and feelings.I felt my C&P went very well, my VSO also stated he thought the intern wrote up a good report, the only exception was she rated my gaf at 57 when it's been con…

tdiu Tdiu C&p Exam, Increase On Current Sc, Filing For Increase.
During my C&P for TDIU, a worsening SC condition was noted. One has worsened and the other was new. Lower PN was worse, and upper PN was found as underlying to Carpal Tunnel bilaterally. I do not think the reviewers or RVSR's will pick up on this either intentionally, or just overlook it. If denied TDIU and I file NOD, do I have to wait a year to file for increased SC condition or newly found condition? And can I use the NP report done for the TDIU exam even though it was missed? Or, should I file a CUE? I have also thought of the 21-526ez for the new SC and worsened SC. My upper PN was rated at moderate, and lower PN at Moderately Severe. I also wear afo's and us…
