TDIU Effective Date
Hello everyone, I have a quick question concerning TDIU. My last employer terminated me because of my service-connected disability. If approved for TDIU, will the VA back pay me to the date that I signed the TDIU form and submitted my claim, or will they back pay me to the date that I put on the TDIU form that I last worked? My VSO initially told me that I would be paid from the date I last worked. Then on another day he told me that I would be paid from the date I submitted the claim. So I just want to get the correct answer. Thanks for any replies.

When does my 100% IU P&T rating become protected?
I became 100% IU P&T in 2006. I am 53 years old. At what point is my rating protected from removal/reduction, and my income limited to making (poverty level $). I understand that the VA and the IRS work in collaboration to ensure I do not make more than the poverty level, while I’m 100% IU P&T? For how many years??

TDIU for Dummies
I swear I looked in the pinned post, but I guess I didn't see anything, or it wasn't clear. I am ready to file a claim for TDIU. Currently at 90% combined with 70% of that being PTSD. So, I meet the 70/60/40 rule since one of my ratings is greater than 60%. Also, I have been fired from 2 jobs within the past year, and most recently, it was due to (my thoughts) my PTSD (we have filed a complaint with EEOC for that as well) because I missed too much work for doctors appointments and such. Background out of the way now... Is there a "How to file TDIU for Dummies" guide somewhere around here? Last claim I filed was on ebenefits, but as I understand that has now…

How long til TDIU starts paying after granted
The BVA granted my rating increase for PTSD and TDIU claim May 6th, and remanded my claims for ulcers, hypertension, and knees. I still haven't started getting my TDIU pay per month or my actual rating on ebenefits hasn't changed. Supposedly it only takes 2 months to see change at least that's what it says on claim. Has anyone had this problem? I called the # they give on website and was told they hold it til they complete remands. That dont make sense wouldnt change if I got other claims granted with TDIU. I really need some advise here please.

Input on TDIU claim
Good afternoon everyone, I was hoping that someone more knowledgeable may be able to provide input on my claim. Im currently rated a combined 90%, 70% PTSD w/alcohol use disorder and 50% cirrhosis. I haven't been able to work since 2017. I filed a claim for TDIU but VA rejected the claim after my C&P so I retained an attorney. I then had a virtual assessment with a licensed psychologist who assessed me and wrote up his findings. My attorney filed a supplemental claim and included the letter from the psychologist. I received another rejection from VA stating that the doctor's letter "does not constitute relevant evidence because it does not prove or disprov…

100% scheduler and TDIU p&t-How to make TDIU moot
Long story short-I was 90% scheduler and awarded TDIU. Many years later I received 100% scheduler p&t, and the VA kept the TDIU designator. So I am currently 100% scheduler with TDIU and permanent and total My question is, has anyone ever asked the VA to make the TDIU moot? If so, have there been any negative ramifications from the VA because you asked them to make the TDIU moot? I am aware I will loose smc s designator and I am ok with that. My concern is that I dont want to go through another round of c and p exams. I just want the TDIU to be declared moot.

TDIU Automatic Claim Review?
Hello all, I was wondering if the VA should automatically review a claim for TDIU once you hit 60% or more? I thought I heard on a Hill & Ponton video that that's the law. I was going through my old 60% VA award paperwork from 2001 and saw where they wrote that I was not qualified for unemployability yet. I had 40% on my lower back, but was only a total of 60% at that time. Therefore, not qualified. However, I looked at my 70% award paperwork from 2002 (my current rating) and didn't see any mention of consideration for unemployability, even though my percentage qualified me for it and still had my lower back rating at 40%. I'm getting ready to file TDIU pape…

What is the best way to file for an earlier effective date for TDIU based upon my situation?
I need some opinions on which claim of mine to appeal, and the best route to do so to file for an earlier effective date of my recent TDIU award. Here is the back story to base this upon... In February of 2015 when I could no longer physically work due to my injuries in the military I went in and filed for VA Compensation. On July 15, 2015 I received my decisions back after my C&P exams and I was awarded service connection for the following things: 40% lumbosacral strain, 10% left foot injury, 10% bilateral tinnitus, 0% bilateral hearing loss. This ended up giving me a 50% rating. In this decision they did not service connect my cervical strain even though based …

100% Scheduler, TDIU, and Permanent and Total
Thank you everyone in this community, I have been successful with my claims, increases, and TDIU because of you all and I will be forever grateful. I am in need of some advice and I hope you all can help me. I started of 90%, then I was approved for TDIU at 90%, and a year later was awarded 100% scheduler (P&T) and the TDIU designator was kept. No future exams scheduled. My question now is if I decide to work and make over the poverty will the VA drop the TDIU designator and keep the 100% Scheduler? I have called regional and they are at a loss as to what may happen if I make over poverty wages and every veteran organization has given my different answer; the mo…
