TBI, yes. Now C&P for headaches
Got a call from QTC stating residuals from TBI are present (just had psyc eval for TBI). Now need a C&P for headaches and alterations in smell/taste. You think they will rate all together or separately? I know, just wait, but was hoping someone has been down this road. The only issue about headaches, I never sought treatment for them. Just self medicated over the years. MJ, otc stuff like excederin, advil, etc. I am taking Lyrica for myalgia symptoms. It does seem to dull headache pain to some degree. Perfumes/cologne or diesel fumes are instant triggers. Same with photo-sensitivity. I work part time from home and have been out for 26 years.

TBI rating without a C&P?
I have been reading this form for about two months now and I’m hoping you may be able to give me some insight. I submitted an application for compensation in January 2018 for injuries I received in a long time ago. Here is a bit of the back ground. When I got out of the service in 1995 I thought I was applying for benefits, turns out it was only the Gulf war registry. I’m not trying to make an excuse for why I didn’t apply earlier, just telling you what happened. I was in a head on car crash in panama, hit by a drunk driver. I was out for 15-30 min, then spent 4 days in the hospital. The Va sent me for a C&P 3 weeks ago for adjustment disorder with anxiety, …

Quest To Prove Tbi
Like many of you I spend way to much time thinking about this stuff but I decided to keep an updated logg of my progress and what better place to keep it than here. Back in 98 while in basic training I was knocked unconcious when a fellow recruit hit me in the head from behind by swinging butt stock of his m16 like a batt. I was unconcious for nine hours and awakened at 3 am when I was found in the woods. The drill sgts swept it under the rug and was simply labeled as a training accident. Fast forward 14 years and I have many problems. Sever loss of hearing Loss of balance Slurred speech Numbness in left facial area with drooling Decreased memory It wa…

Smc (T) For Tbi
Jus curious if vets are aware of the new smc t rating for tbi n residuals. It seems like some arent. I just learned about it. I'm awaiting a decision by the va. I've read requirements for t rating. Seem justifiable but I know the va doesn't want to pay vets at that rate. It's 7900 a month. Funny my psychiatrist from the va told me the va doesn't want to pay the t rate. Amazing. I've seen him.for 7 yrs. He's a decent dude tho. He did my 21-2680.

TBI claim update
First, I want to thank everyone for all of their assistance and input re my claim situation. I really appreciate it. Esp Berta for taking the time to review the Socs and trying to analyze what the VARO was thinking/not thinking. Yesterday I went to a VSO with a good reputation and 2 gentlemen sat down with me and went over my entire file. As we went through the file they asked many of the questions that those in the know here ask: do you have <insert blank>. They both ended up reviewing all the documents as they were surprised because of the denials. And we're talking about around 100 pages of docs. Ending opinion: *I have a rock soli…

my C&P, revamped....hahahaha
Forgive the first effort, injuries have a way of making things difficult..... Twenty-four years of dealing with the VA, and the difficulties at hand ensure negative results..... These are the copies of a C and P recently done at the VA, and leaves me to doubt this system is capable of conducting themselves in an ethical manner. Enjoy the insanity, this veteran is tired of paying the piper; Eighteen Years were Enough !!!! (Remand posted earlier.) Still waiting to address attorney with the results of this remand and the Shabby, Disrespectful, and unethical way in which this Veteran has been treated at the VA hands...... Shoulder fired weapons and TBI
I am SC connected at 30% for a couple issues. I have not filed a claim in years. A fellow Marine sent this article from the Military times. I find myself with most of the symptoms mentioned in the article but just summed it up to being older etc. My MOS was 0351 SMAW gunner. Anyone else here with similar MOS with some of the symptoms mention in the article below? https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2018/05/01/shoulder-fired-weapons-can-cause-traumatic-brain-injuries-study-finds/
