Brushing Teeth
This probably should not go here, and some may take it the wrong way. I have Parkinson's disease. I was trying to brush my teeth, and putting the tooth paste on the brush has become a challenge. I tried everything before I got it on the brush, but I did get it everyplace else, walls, vanity, my nose (don't ask). Wasted almost the entire tube. Got to the point that I almost cried, but then I just started to laugh. I will work this out, may take several tubes, and we don't want talk about shaving. Papa

Ihd And Secondary Cardiomyopathy
Rockman is rated @ 60% for Agent Orange IHD. He went to his cardiologist on Monday of this week. He is @ 35-40% EF now. He was @ 40-45% in November 2010. He added a med and increased one of his meds. He cannot walk from one room to another room without completely worn out. The cardiologist did not do a Met's on him previously. He should be less than 3, if I read all of it right. He can only tie his shoes and put on his socks sitting down. His diagnosis on the sheet had secondary cardiomyopathy. My question is: Can he file or should he file for secondary cardiomyopathy SECONDARYy to AO IHD? I know that the code for th is is 7020. Any ideas as to what he should do. …

ptsd Peripheral Neuropathy
"We have had extensive work up in the past for treatable causes of neuropathy and no treatable causes have been noted. He was exposed to Agent Orange and it is as likely as not that his chronic neuropathy is related to Agent Orange." Never thought I'd see a VA doctor enter that comment into my file. The PN in hands is mild (comes & goes). The right foot is bad & the left foot is something like numb (all the time) & useless. After being connected for PTSD, Cancer & IHD I really think the pain from the PN in left foot bothers me more than anything I have ever experienced. I have never filed & know to get Chronic PN connected is a real PAIN IN THE BU…

hypertension More Proof ?
Here we go, on the hamster wheel ride again. Already established boots on ground in Vietnam, sc for AO related conditions since April '08 and today we rec'd a request to prove my husband was in Vietnam. He is part of the Nehmer action, has hypertension that was denied several years ago (when we had a not so hot VSO who didn't file a Form 9 with hypertension on it, at least they listed the meat of the claim)....so we're at square peg No. 1 on the hypertension again. His recent decision granting him P&T at 100% doesn't mention hypertension however it was reopened with new evidence in August 2010. The P&T decision stated hypertension and increase of PN is d…

Fast Track
I submitted my claim for Parkinson's disease using the FAST TRACK system in 02-11. I submitted all the required form and medical evidence. I submitted the VCAA authorization electronically. Later, I learned that someone moved my claim to the regular claims system, and now the va is asking for the hard copy signed VCAA. So, just because you start your claim in FAST TRACK does not mean that it will stay there. I did send a nice IRIS inquiry to find out why, and I sent a 21-4138 answering other issues that the va raised on va form 21-6789, this is a form that the va sent me by mistake, it is an internal va form. I have been waiting so very long for my other claims, and…

Cll And Scll Bwn Vets Added To Ao Nhl
"Grants of Service Connection under the Provisions of 38 CFR § 3.313 Under the provisions of 38 CFR § 3.313, Veterans who served in Vietnam, including service in the waters offshore, are entitled to a presumption of service connection for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. We have received questions about the connection between non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and small-cell lymphocytic lymphoma. Discussions with medical professionals at the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and with our attorneys at the Office of General Counsel (OGC) led to the conclusion that these diseases should all be considered the same disease for purposes of § 3.313. We will …

Ascom Depot Korea Aerial Photo & Places Marked
The information below is furnished in relation to Agent Orange at ASCOM Depot. Storage and presence of AO was/is at a place not currently recognized by the DoD as being admitted for presumptive exposure. I had made an earlier commitment to furnish the aerial photo by June 18, 2011. I had earlier posted the photo here and two other Korea AO related forums with a request for information and waited 2 months. All of the info is from me, no one had any info of signifigance. If you have any info to offer now or difference of opinion, contact me and I will consider. The photo is copyrighted by me. …

Ihd & Retro
I was awarded 10% for CAD back in October 2009 and filed a NOD due that no testing was done by the NP during the C&P exam. They final scheduled a new C& P in Janurary 2011 for CAD & IHD. The test showed 3-5 METS and injection at 50%. Should be 60% compensatable. My current disabilities are 90% paid at the 100%.which started in March 2008. Question is will they pay retro for my CAD/IHD back to the October 2009?

Vietnam Vets With Cml
We have a Facebook page, "Vietnam Vets with CML and their families". We have quite a bit of research and links on that page to help with your disability claim. We need more Vets, more participation, we ESPECIALLY need physicians who can assist in obtaining the much needed nexus for our claims and for our appeals. The Facebook page is getting attention, more than just about any other vet or cancer page, but we need more participation. At this point, I am the only administrator: everyone seems too busy to help. I could use someone willing to assist me in that regard. You will find links to successful and unsuccessful appeals, input from families (NOK) and their frustrations…
