Denied without actually looking at medical records
Good afternoon, I am hoping for some advice on how to proceed or what I need to do and how to do it. Back story: I spent 5 years in the Infantry with one tour to Iraq. I broke my leg and that lead to me getting an MEB. I submitted a claim for pes planus and hypertension due to issues that have been getting worse for some time. Because I couldnt figure out how to add attachments to the claim in Ebenifits, I printed the form and mailed it along with my first and entry and exit physicals (to show that I had developed flat feet while in the service), blood pressure readings and a prescription history for blood pressure meds issued while in, and one statement each to …

BAV appeal
Ok so I am having a few issues with the BAV First off I talked to my regional VSO from the VFW and he agreed with me that my percentages added up to 100%. He said he put in for an audit of their numbers. Is this good or bad? Next I am getting very conflicting reports. I call the BVA number and talk to them and they state the appellate brief has not been sent from the VFW. The agent said they can see where the regional sent it back on august 4th and where they released it to the BVA on the 28th of august, but did not sent the brief. So I call my rep at the VSO and he said he can see the just is reviewing my Dercum's disease at 60% to see if that is high …

Hi Everyone I wanted to know has anyone seen a situation like this before, I have an appeal with the VA to have my benefits increased. I submitted all the required paperwork from my past doctor's visits the lay statements the C&P and the IMO that I had done as well,I have a law firm also representing me.I checked on that status of the appeal and it was closed on August 1st. I thought that the VA was going to make a decision and that's why it was closed. So another person who I know who submitted his claim a month after me just got his results back on Monday. So I called the VA and they told me that my case was closed because I didn't file out form 21-526E. So I cal…

A law firm contacted me
I have an appeal from 2011 that was partial granted 20% with a back date to 2011. I was contacted by Bergman and Moore law firm and they want to try and get the 20% award increased. My question to you folks is if I accept this offer from them and lose at the CAVC can I lose my already approved grant? Will appealing it delay the back pay award or will there be two backpay awards? Thank you

Claim granted, how long for retro payment
I received my SOC this Monday and am getting retro pay from 1-14-19 from 10% to 30%. I've called numerous times and they keep saying there is a note in the computer that states i have retro pay. However, the paper has not been cut or released to start the process of my back payment. They say it can take a month for a year. Any idea on how long this normally takes? Thank you.

PTSD (70) and TBI combined into one.
i need some help with my tbi... i was awarded the ptsd since 2012 and have gotten 3rd evaluations, this last one in may was my 4th. two weeks later i went for my tbi c&p. a letter from the va arrived 2 weeks ago, my ptsd is still at 70 and they award me not zero for tbi. the crazy part is they combined my tbi to my ptsd. instead by it's own. here is how hey added to my eBenefits: "PTSD (claimed also as insomnia, memory, psychological, sleep problems, and nightmares) with Traumatic Brain Injury (from 05/28/2014)" i'm reaching out to see if the va can do this by combining two different claims into one. has anyone h…

Bva Just Made Decision And Sent It To Amc Is This A Remand?
I just looked on my e-benifits and it said Decision & claims file dispatched and mailed my decision to me and sent to progress office amc on 1/6/2014. This appeal is over 7 years old. Dose this mean a remand? I went thru that with one of my other appeal and it took over 1 year to approve that remand. Is it possible that it was approved by the bva law judge? Thanks for your help.
